Yeees. Big Grin

The silver-furred woman watched as Vieira emerged from the cave, but for only a moment did her yellow-gold eye focus on the other woman; very quickly she averted her gaze, looking instead to the fire and the fish, the pan that Vieira had set out. Kaena did not normally cook what she ate, but she appreciated the taste of lightly seared foods and smoked ones, the strange and exotic spice cooking gave to food. The other coyote greeted her, and the hybrid was compelled to respond. "Don't know about you, but I'm hungry." she stated, and her voice was quite warm, having lost all rough edges for it. She was still dancing around direct questions, leaving it open to response, testing the other coyote for signs of personality. They'd been living together a week, and Kaena had been quite intimate with Vieira, and they were still virtual strangers.

The smaller canine set to work on the fish, roughly splitting one with her claws. The hybrid frowned at this, and stood. "I'll get a knife," she said, disappearing into the shadowy innards of the cave, heading right for the shelf behind her bedding area. She paused over the cloth wrappings of Astaroth's knife, her hand finally wavering to the utility-styled knife right next to it. She wondered if Vieira would recognize it. The tooth hanging around her neck was one morbid thing, but that could have been anyone's tooth. Viei might not automatically recognize it as her father's. The hybrid decided in the end to take both, carrying one in each hand. The purplish crystal of the ritual dagger was cool even through the tattered cloth wrapping. It felt quite wrong in her hand, and she contemplated putting it back, hesitating a moment before emerging from the cave. The hybrid padded to Vieira's side, handing her the utility knife to ease her cutting of the fish, settling back down to the earth next to the warmth of the fire.
