Bad weather was unmistakably heading her way. She saw the clouds rolling in from afar, thick and low, threatening to unleash their tears upon the world. Her goal had been to reach the cabin just before rainfall but the Lilium had other plans for the pack, regardless of the weather. A meeting held by Dahlia de Mai's very own demon was none too promising. She'd seen what terrible monster lay hidden behind those crystal-blue eyes; a terrible being she did not wish to meet again. Unfortunately, in times like these, when hierarchy overpowered personal preferences, Alexey had no choice but to answer his call. Her pace had been reasonable at first, following a sluggish cadenza, but it grew more urgent as time passed. Haku's intentions were unexposed for the time being, but something about the way he'd beckoned the pack's presence was unnerving. The tone he'd used did not foreshadow good news.

Conor's fresh trail first enticed her nostrils, later followed by another scent she knew all too well. Surprise crossed her facial features for a fleeting second, only to be replaced by slight apprehension. Apparently, their relationship had not survived the obstacles they had been presented with. Kol had come home, and she hadn't made any efforts to visit her brother's former mate. Had their friendship been nothing more than a commodity? Assumptions were temporarily shoved aside as she neared the little gathering. Alexey's efforts doubled as she channeled her energy into her limbs, hoping not to burden her packmates with her late arrival. Hazy black dots materialized into bigger figures, blurry at first, but growing clearer with every step taken. Slay was the closest, his back to her, as she slowed into a steady pace. The tension in his body was striking, even with the inconvenient angle at which she approached.

"Sorry," she mouthed, making her way through the scattered crowd. Golden globes met the Tilia's cold blue gaze as she passed him, expecting a silent answer from her fellow council member, but finding hollowness instead. The Koios femme then turned to Conor, to whom she offered an insecure smile. She halted next to him, seeking his silent approval before taking a seat right next to him. Although they couldn't address important issues right now, Alexey did her best to show him that she would not abandon him. A stiff nod was given to both the Stormbringer femme, by whom she felt betrayed once more, and the crazed Lilium sitting atop his broken throne.
