They all noticed that something was different. Perhaps off would be a better description. Last time Dahlia had gathered they had been many and the mood had been merry. Did they already know that they were sailing towards the end? He did not wish to believe that, and so he did not. He waited, wasting away with his patience. Eventually most of them arrived. Both Emwe and Mew had fresh traces in the lands, so he brushed them off as absent from the meeting yet still counted them into the pack’s total. Who he missed here was the ivory ex-Rosea and her dark coated guardian. There was aggravation growing within, but the male did not give this away as he eyed the reluctant members of the circle. There was his son, no longer a runt in appearance at least. The returned Stormbringer, a stern, resentful mate of the white leader, Koios, Eliza, and, oh – Tokyo chance’s body had been tossed into growth. He instantly realized what the matter was and cursed her very being silently in his mind. The lovely Lolita was the last to appear.

The male waited, though as the members had appeared he had given each and every one of them a neutral nod, making no difference between friend and foe. Slay’s resentment was expected, and there was nothing he could do about it. Cercelee had brought this upon herself when she had refused to act as the leader she should be. It would be better this way. Possibly better for Dahlia as whole, definitely better for Haku Soul in person. He revelled at the additional power on his lonely throne. Cercelee was still technically a leader, but she held little to no authority any longer. She was not needed – it would just help smoothen out the switch with the pack before she was to be removed completely. He did not expect much cooperation from her at all, so she would prove her uselessness well enough on her own. She did just that as she glittered with her absence. He would have to talk with Lillith about this little slip. This was the meeting where he would have needed her most.

Unsure if it was possible to turn this into his favour, he would just go ahead and announce the changes and deal with the issues and questions as they rose. ”Thank you for showing up on such a short notice. There’s been some changes the latest days that deserve some attention.” A last glance was thrown around in pursuit of Cercelee’s small frame before he continued. ”Metal jaws and dead animals have started showing up at Dahlian borders. The leadership has every reason to believe that we are being threatened by an unknown enemy. Unfortunately we have been unable to find who is responsible for these deeds as of yet.” So much time used on tracking the borders, but the metal jaws and the dead animals kept appearing. It was especially dangerous now when snow was beginning to fall. Traps turned invisible, resting under the snow waiting for juicy limbs that could be snapped in half.

”Therefore, to better deal with these issues, Cercelee, our Rosea, has decided to step down as head of the pack to take the role previously held by Cwmfen nic Graine, Adonis of Dahlia. That leaves me in charge and I assure you that I will do my very best to keep you safe from whoever it is that is threatening Dahlia de Mai.” Hopefully things would be done to rid Dahlia of this annoyance sooner, for Haku was certain that this would only be the beginning. Haku was not a man of many words, and whenever he attempted to be he felt utterly ridiculous. Of course none of this was revealed to the crowd. He was full of confidence, for he was walking his own path and it was possible that they would have to be a part of it for a little while. There was nothing more to say. If they had questions then he was certain they would be asked, else this was all there was. This announcement and none of that silly little chit chatting that Cercelee had been so fond of.
