409 words.

#####Jade eyes travelled between those that had gathered there, but there were only two familiar faces, those of Haku and Eliza. It was very sad that she knew so few of her pack mates, but the only other one that she knew, Cmwfen, was not present. From Haku’s words, however, Lolita could only assume that the black and blue woman had left the pack, if she was no longer holding her rank. It was unfortunate, as Lolita had found her very interesting, but it only seemed to go along with what Haku had said about being the only one who cared about the dangers being posed by an unknown force on the wolves of Dahlia. She couldn’t help but notice that no one else seemed to hold themselves of rank, which could only lead her to believe that the Rosea was not present. This thought was only magnified by what Haku had to say about the change in leadership. She was glad to know that Haku was finally doing something about the threats being left for them. He had seemed disheartened when they had met over the headless corpse, and it reassured her to know that something was being done. It seemed that he could be trusted.

#####As others arrived and the discussion turned to who it might be that was leaving the traps and dead animals, Lolita was surprised to hear that some seemed to think that it might be Inferni. This surprised her, as she had not thought there to be any problems between the pack and clan. Of the three that she had met from the clan, the cream colored woman had gotten mixed signals. She had enjoyed her conversation with Kaena, and Anselm was definitely pretty cool, but her encounter with Snake had certainly not been a good one. Overall, however, she could not say she had any prejudice against the coyotes. It was probably a wolf-coyote thing, and since she was mostly made up of dog breeds, then that would explain why she did not immediately jump to the same conclusion as some of the others. As they discussed who it might be, Lolita surveyed those present again, trying to decipher why some seemed very grim at what Haku had to say. Yes, it was unfortunate that they were being threatened, but at least they now had a leader that was willing to make an effort to help them and stop the potential dangers.
