The Inferni clan was a place Anu kept away from, though such an idea was not her own. The lands were protected heavily and the leader, though friendly towards her, had spoken of their dislike towards wolves along their border. Even when she had stated that she was no threat, he had been certain that she would turn to tooth and claw if the moment arose. His thoughts were true, but Anu herself had a difficult time believing them. As the female spoke her name, simply, Anu came to find that it was the first of the Lykoi family she had ever met. Unbeknown to her the family was large and it might just be a rare thing to find a beast who had never met of the coyote’s kin. The Dreamer gave a smile, glad that the female was friendly and pleased that she did not find her presence here in ill will. Her features did not change, still slightly stone in appearance even after Anu had grown warm in her words and demeanor. It must be the new snow, the cold wind that so willingly ripped across the face of the mountain that kept the other canine at an almost icy distance. However, the two females did not sit in silence for very long. Her question had not been what Anu was expecting, though what she had expected was unknown as well and may have only been the sound of the wind passing between pine needles. The view that was bestowed beyond their perch and the silent peace that the mountain, broken only by the periodic drifts of snow, would have satisfied the Crimsinan. But her voice was welcomed, and Anu let her tail wave against the soft snow as she let her voice rise in its gentle way to respond.

“I have never explored these lands before.” The wolfess spoke with honesty, finding that lies deserved no place between she and the other female. The mountain was new to her, and she was so very far from home she doubted that she would have met anyone at the eastern most reaches of the region.
“I am afraid my wandering has taken we away from home too often, lately.” she commented, thinking of the wolves that she had left behind in her few days of exploration. Anu was no novice when it came to roaming, though in the last few years that trait had been tamed. Still, Anu took to the city for supplies, she patrolled to secure the border and visited allies to reform those ties. But a piece of her wished to just be, without the pressures that had settled onto her shoulders. Anu thought of Colibri, the wolfess that needed her so, and at this time was to weak to shelter her as Anu had the ex-Dahlian. It was not easy simply watching over her, when her heart yearned for such deeper things.

Blue eyes looked away from the winter scene, and let her gaze fall to the other female. It was easy for Anu to connect with many souls, and she found it natural to become at ease in the presence of a non threatening beast. Kaena did not give the smile that Anu hoped to exchange, and had not even extended her clan’s name in hope of showing the peace between the two packs. Still the Dreamer could not help but find the female intriguing and one she hoped to know. The two second in commands just might have more in common they first believed possible.
“You?” Anu wondered as she watched the Inferni female, her smile still curved her lips upwards slightly and gently.
