Perhaps she would be forever untouched by the battles of the species, but as she grew closer to those that lived in Inferni she became more aware of their plight. Still, it upset her to think that she was untrustworthy, simply since she was a wolf. The types like Haku and Cwmfen’s father Corvus gave their kind a poor name, and the blue eyed woman was just now feeling the affects of their actions in a very different way. But the wolf could not linger on the idea, for her understanding of it was far too blurred and fragmented for her to dwell on it. The world was not split in two, the good and the evil. There were the grays that committed good and evil deeds with circumstances that could be preserved differently in every beast’s mind.

Her ears took in the bit of geography that Kaena gave. Her mind envisioning the invisible lines that ran along the starting slopes of the mountains the two females had climbed this pleasant day. Anu was not sure if the gray woman wished to simply inform her of the boundaries that she should be avoiding, or if it was to simply say that this was her neighborhood. Anu wondered if she frequented this place often, as Anu did the garden and orchard. It was a simple place that brought her peace and tranquility, a familiar and yet slightly out of the way home for her to reflect. It was a question that could not go unasked,
“Do you come here often?” It was quite a climb for a little getaway, abut the view and the silence was so very worth it.

Anu smiled at her agreeing words, and took a breath as if to bring in the closeness and quietness that the stranger spoke of. Quickly her thoughts were banished by the question that was brought to her. Anu looked at the other’s face, ears forward at the surprise of the disturbance of silence.
“No.” Anu responded, with the same sudden feeling in her voice. She was not running away like it was what she always did. This was new for her, this was unlike anything she had ever experienced and in the past she had faced the hardship, for she had been the on to create it. This, it was all to much. A moment, it was all she asked for.
“No, I have never loved a place more.” Anu explained, if that was what the female was inquiring. So what was it that she was running from? Colibri? Her gentle voice and soft touch? No, such a thing was far from frightening.
