OOC: ::Word Count::  The silver furred hybrid stalked forward around the border, her pace quick as she stepped through the light covering of snow over the ground. It had been raining and snowing alternatively, interspersing a little bit of freezing rain and hail into that. The hybrid woman yearned for the true cold snaps, the depth of winter when night stretched on forever and the days were blessedly brief. The ash-colored canine was a nocturnal creature, keeping to the odd hours of night even until the first light of dawn. As Kaena aged, she found that she needed less and less sleep to function. Sleep was not as necessary a thing as when she had been a child, sleeping for at least twelve hours of the night. Now, the silver-furred Centurion needed only about six hours of sleep. She could function just fine on that, and she rarely felt the sort of dreamy sleep-deprivation that had followed her occasionally in youth. There were still sleepless nights, but now the hybrid could function on even less than she could before. As she hurried forward, a loud, low call, a strange voice, sought her out. Assuming nothing, the silver-furred coyote turned up the pace, stepping quickly toward the source of the sound. She assumed it was simply an outsider waiting beyond the border, calling for attention—the scene she stumbled upon before her was quite a bit different from anything she'd been expecting. Before she'd even passed the border, there was a stranger—pale creams and brownish tans highlighting his fur, a blue bandana wrapped around his neck, his eyes screaming pale fury. Hybrid stood practically on top of the canine, his own psychotic rage doubling by the second, even as he took a swing toward the other canine. Alarmed, the hybrid rushed up to the pair, though she intelligently left a few feet between herself and the battling canines. The Centurion spoke sharply: "What the fuck's going on here?" |
