[ooc] and as you're falling down

[bic] could i hear you scream?

He twisted under the weight of the much larger coyote, upper half following the bottom to the ground as his shoulder struck hard earth and his neck turned, jaws snapping at the air just as Hybrid moved. His belly scuffed the ground as he pulled back from Hybrid's assault on his legs, snarling viciously but withholding any of his own strikes, for his crazy dance across the ground to get him away was hard enough to maintain without him trying to play serpent. He was more surprised with the simplicity and fluidity of the other's movements, as if he'd done it thousands of times.

But then, he very likely had. The deadly dance of canines was something he was none too practiced in, and it was infuriating to know he was at a disadvantage. His acidic eyes shifted to peripheral as the hybrid came in on his neck and, in the last instant, he turned and snapped his jaws shut with a yowling of vocal chords through his feral growl, for his target had shifted once more.

He collapsed under the sheer weight that shoved brutally into his leg. There was nothing left in him but simple bloodlust and unfelt hatred, for it was crushed by something other than itself; the weight of that something squeezed his life away like Hybrid's jaws squeezed his vulnerable leg. He didn't wince under the pressure of jaws, didn't even feel as his bone began to give way, for all he knew was the red haze that obstructed his view, the scents that drove his fury, and the skull. That beautiful, perfectly sculpted skull. That tainted and flawed, but determined skull.

That god damn skull that his teeth flashed toward. It wasn't the greatest place to attack, but hitting it hard enough with his teeth would at least cause some damage, and the locking of jaws could prove to make it difficult for Hybrid to go anywhere; this was all in theory, of course.
