This was like arguing with a brick wall, and she knew that it applied equally to Hybrid talking to her as well. The two might as well have been born on different planets for all the good this conversation was doing. Still, she wasn't inclined to walk away from anything unless things started getting nasty and she was far from the end of her patience. He could just as easily walk away too and if he was going to stick around and continue to debate things then she would give him the benefit of the doubt and do the same. She doubted that it would really accomplish anything, but she didn't have anything better to do right now. Except maybe smoke one, but she could do that afterwords. Surely it would help to ease the tension that was growing thick in the air around the two clan members.

How Hybrid was so sure that this other canine had lied to him was beyond her. Some people weren't very good liars, and maybe this foreigner had been one of those, but that didn't seem too likely. The oddest thing he said though was the part about it being the coward's way out. The only time she had ever heard that term applied was to suicide, never to lying. It did seem like the male had a point though, trespassing and then fighting with one of the members wasn't exactly protocol behavior for wanting to join a certain group. Still, if he had ended up joining maybe he just didn't have very good manners. "How do you know he was lying, since he did end up joining?" Rikka wasn't the type to take anything at face value and always poked and prodded to get as much information as she could before she decided to pass judgment on it. It was clear that things hadn't been handled well on the newcomer's part, but she wasn't about to dub him a liar for no discernible reason.

At Hybrid's last couple sentences her mouth creased into a thin, slightly down-turned line. Did he honestly believe that? It was ridiculous, one of the most ridiculous things she had ever heard. Of course people needed to leave Inferni sometimes, whether it was for food or supplies or what have you. "Some people don't like closing themselves off into one tiny pocket of the world." She never had. She didn't know many that did. Even her family members had interactions outside of the clan. "This one little spot of land is minuscule when compared to the whole world, and the world has a lot to offer." One just had to open their eyes and their mind to accept it.
