It was lucky for the both of them that Hybrid did not get a chance to voice his specific thoughts on Halo and females in general, for it would have turned their encounter very sour very quickly. Not only a pacifist, Rikka was an adamant feminist and such statements would have severely irked her. She wouldn't have lost her temper, but she certainly would have started a debate on the subject and when she believed herself to be right she would not back down and chances were Hybrid would not have backed down either. It would have just been an incredibly messy way to end the evening and so it was good that he had been distracted by her question. His initial response made her feel a little better about being ignorant to the clan's goings on. At least she wasn't the only member who was a little clueless on current events.

However his next bit of news made her smile disappear quite quickly and her face turned into a drawn and strained neutral expression. This was exactly the sort of thing that she did not want to hear about. The fact that it involved her mother did nothing to help either, considering she was still quite upset about Kaena deciding there was nothing wrong with keeping another coyote as a slave. At least he went on to talk about something a little less troubling and so Rikka did her best to focus on that. "What kind of foreigner?" It seemed the safest question to ask out of everything Hybrid had talked about.
