HE WAS A PRETTY YOUNG THING

In a split second, the mood changed, and Hybrid stopped laughing rather abruptly. Gabriel looked positively murderous and he pulled himself off his chest. Hybrid could see that the Aquila did not appreciate his laughter, but Hybrid knew if he fell over like Gabriel had, he would receive the same treatment. In fact, Hybrid suspected Gabriel would probably sit on him and rub his face in the strange slippery surface and smirk. Damn Gabriel and his smirks. Hybrid hated canines who smirked. It made them look like ridiculous egomaniacs, and Hybrid hated it.

Hybrid flattened his ears against his skull as Gabriel spoke and deepened his frown. Hybrid bit back a stupid retort, as he was not known for witty ones, glaring at his leader.

"Oh, fuck off, Gabriel, that was funny," he replied, glowering. Observe: not known for his witty retorts. "I'm fucking out of here." He started to slowly edge toward the snow bank, digging in to the surface with his claws. Like always, Hybrid was in his Secui form, which afforded him powerful retractable claws, better for gripping. He continued inching toward the bank, then stopped suddenly when he found his balance was weak. He glanced over his shoulder to see that he had journeyed a grand total of thirty centimetres. To his other side, the snow bank soared above him. It was far too tall for him to climb it, and he didn't know if there was more of the slippery ground hiding under the snow. He glanced at Gabriel, only then realized they were most certainly stuck.
