While the words that came from the coyote's mouth were not unexpected, Mew still felt a pang to her chest. She had a hybrid half-brother: ok. But now a sister in Inferni? No.. no, it would not do. Had she been on four legs today she might have sat down in pure shock, but instead her vividly green eyes moved quickly from one of the female's eyes to the other, studying her. As if desperate to find any clue that she was lying — but why would she be? What possible intent would she have by lying about this? And she could not simply have made up the connection with the lullaby either. Mew shifted her weight onto the other foot and her fingers touched in the process, arms in front of her as if protecting herself, but also available. She was torn. This was worse than Jefferson — yet, this female seemed not more dangerous than he. In fact, she looked less dangerous, even for the scent on her fur. Jefferson was scarred and mangled, missing bodyparts here and there, but this girl was young and healthy. So very young, too, compared to their mother's age. Mew did not want to think about why Colibri had done this as she had wondered about why she had created Jefferson. It was quite obvious; Colibri Soul's children despised coyotes, but the femme herself did not.

She could not decide, could not land on a single conclusion. Now she was ruled by two things; sense and experience on one hand, and hard and non-negotiable justice on the other. At some point it had felt as these two sides of her joined forces in her dealings with coyotes. At some point it had been justifiable and even wise to hate them, to wish them all the harm and pain and suffering in the world. But now her sense told her that this was Inferni she was dealing with. Her experiences with the clan had on all occasions but one ended with bloodshed of some degree. She could not push that away. Yet at the same time, Mew had accepted the patriarch of Phoenix Valley as her brother, and it was only just that she treated this one with the same amount of openness. If Colibri Soul had been able to do this, to interact with these creatures of Inferni, then Mew Sadira would be no less of a female. She was too proud of her family, but this would be a grand test of her endurance. She stood silent, and as snow slowly gathered on her shoulders and head she spoke a single sentence which sounded wrong in her head, but was perhaps the right thing to say, to do. She hoped so. After all, who was she to judge every individual of this world as if they were all the same, when she knew from her own small litter that individuality ruled everything? Face was grave and voice was low but not aggressive. "Then we are sisters."
