It all goes, all goes by

His brother was still the happy and bouncy child he always had been. The happy and bouncy child Conor never had been. Of course he felt jealousy draw close when he thought of the small, happy world that his brother lived in. The golden male’s world had always seemed like a cold and unhappy place. He had been tossed out of his child world too early when he had wandered away into Halifax and barely escaped with life intact. Alexey had saved him and later become his everything, but he had never been able to crawl back into the world where he truthfully belonged. Instead he had watched this greyscale world where bad things happened and happy endings only existed in foolish stories. Foolish, his father had called those stories foolish and pathetic. His father had told him that there were no happy endings in life. Not for Dahlia, not for Haku, not for Haku’s children. Although Conor wanted to believe in something different, these words would always haunt him in his nightmares. What had made his father utter such words? What was driving his father insane?

”Treasure, eh?” the young male echoed and smirked at his chubby brother. Of course it would be something about a treasure or something along those lines. It was strange, for despite his brother’s many discoveries and beliefs they had yet to find an actual treasure. Maybe today would be the day when Emwe would find his chest filled with golden, cold treasure. As long as it was shiny it was enough for his lighter hued brother. Had it not been for Conor’s brother he would have failed being a child completely. As a child Conor had been filled with fear. It was only Alexey and his twin brother that had been safe to interact with, and despite his brother’s lack of enthusiasm with games and puppy play, Emwe had always succeeded at involving his brother in everything he did. Of course Conor would come along and look for this imaginary treasure. The young Soul male almost felt bad because of this, but next to his fat brother he seemed to hold as much life as a rock. The least he could do was to pretend to be half as excited as Emwe was.

There was no time to lose and Conor suddenly gasped and then pointed towards the kitchen as if he saw something truly shocking. Of course there was nothing there, and as his brother had turned to investigate what was going on in the room, the golden boy was already sprinting away; halfway out through the door, turning north.
