When he did not feel as if anyone was watching, or if he thought that the alpha would not mind, Minos explored. These lands belonged to him as well, at least a small itty bitty fraction did. He had the right to defend it; and he needed to as so his leader had told him. Suggestions were not exactly something Minos understood; there were no ‘maybes’ or ‘you shoulds’ in his realm of thought. He would do so, if the asker was bigger in form or higher in position, or simply if they commanded it with their tone andposture. The white ragged beast was not one for wavering. Doing as he was told was so much more simple.

But, this day, midmorning with a high clouded sun and a gray blue sky the male no tasks to complete or commands to carry out. The wolf had already walked a portion of the territory’s border, and now had gone north and found large body of water that lined the northern portion of the lands. Yellow eyes glared at it briefly, a growl emanating from his throat and he ran quickly and with his tail low and between hind limbs, as it always was. He cared not for the crashing sound of waves, and did not enjoy that they threatened to chase him again and again. Once far enough away that he knew the water would not swallow him whole Minos turned to face it, his ears flat against his head and barked.

The while wolf ran, tail between his legs over the beach and through the winter cold wind. The water clung to his left, bashing against the harsh pebbled sands and urging him onward. He ran until his breath grew ragged in his throat, stopping to catch it and tip toe closer to the always crashing, always threatening waters.
