If Daisuke considered himself klutzy with words, Snake might simply be regarded as dumb or mute. Of course, he had never been and perhaps would never be a conversationalist—he was simply not social in any regard. He actually amazed himself with several of the conversations he had with this golden-furred wolf; he had already revealed several things that he probably would not have. Snake did not keep secrets usually. If someone asked something of him, he would usually reply with all the truth that he had. But without any of that rambling, whatever lyrics that Daisuke could come up would be infinitely better than any nonsense that Snake could think of—if anything. Music moved in his head in an opposite plane than words, so he could hardly imagine them converging.

Snake's green eyes looked away, though he knew that Daisuke was not lying—he did feel better; the music had had a charming effect on him. He seemed at least separated from his worries, though he was sure that they would pounce on him as soon as he began to take it for granted. But then he might be able to recall that tune, as long as it remained in his random access memory. Once it faded, however, he would be alone to fend for himself. He didn't care—he could take it; he was plenty strong enough for that. It was just tiring.

The cat—Snake probably had forgotten his name, it didn't come to him right away—sauntered over to his golden-furred owner and, after a few affectionate gestures between the canine and feline, settled in his lap. Snake stared, unblinking, at the cat's round eyes. It mewed at him, trying to work its charms, but they didn't work on the mechanical coyote. He merely stared for a few more moments before looking up to Daisuke, miniature cat almost completely forgotten or ignored. He wasn't being rude... He just didn't think it was as important. Sorry, Schwartz.

Besides, there was a much more serious question to be asked. Snake was silent for a moment, considering as he looked into the fire once more. He usually focused on something else when he was nervous, or when he had something to really think over. "Their leader, their alpha, attacked one of ours—her name is Kaena, and she accepted me into the clan. We cannot let this go by, for he has hurt our number before. We must get rid of him, or else nothing good can come of it. As for them, they probably wish to simply destroy us as much as they can. Out of reaction, probably, but they also have never liked our presence near theirs." He paused, his reptilian gaze flicking towards Daisuke. "Other than that, though, there is nothing. We will fight. Some will die. Eventually someone will win."
