He’d since shifted into a bigger, more powerful form as his nose sought the soil of Dahlia’s border. He was intent on finding Haku Soul as soon as physically possible, and only slowed at the territory’s edge to ensure he was at peak state to tear the bastard apart. En route to Dahlia de Mai, he’d only paused momentarily at times to rest to keep himself from collapse, for laying unconscious on the ground would do nothing to ensure the blue-eyed male ended up paying for his action. Otherwise, fueled by burning emotion and smoldering anger he’d kept at a steady pace, ignoring the passage of time and the possibility of thought as he moved like a machine—without consciousness and driven by mission alone.

         He didn’t even see the ground racing beneath his feet nor the landscape flash past by in a blur of muted color as the scent of flowers lingered in the shadows at the edges of his mind. Sleek head lowered and hackles lifted, the beast sought the ground for recent signs of the blue-eyed wolf. Crimson vision briefly sought Gabriel, ensuring the elder canine continued to follow along as Samael searched the earth for the passage of their target. Finding a likely enough trail, again the dark coyote headed off—moving determinedly after the creature whose blood his fangs screamed to spill.
