In Character

They rushed together like two angry oceans, and Samael was the first to be struck. Haku had seen the attack coming and met it head on, something Gabriel expected. Samael was smaller, and shoved aside by the hulking monster that called itself a wolf. Yellowing teeth and blackened claws reached for Gabriel, whose speed was his advantage. Haku would have weight on him in the Secui form, and Gabriel knew this—but he would not risk an extended battle with the beast since it was apparent they would not be alone. A flash of white was only a momentary thought, a flash that rushed towards his black furred brother and sought his blood. Gabriel did not care what happened to the younger Lykoi, as long as his purpose was met. Samael could die here as long as the bastard died.

As Haku turned on him, Gabriel did not have the option of reaching his back. There was no doubt that Haku would not allow this to happen, and knowing it, Gabriel rushed forward with a feral snarl, using his momentum to leap at the larger wolf. There was a small chance his weight and speed would knock the bastard over, and if not his teeth were ready to strike at the throat, at the shoulder, at the face. Whatever Haku gave him he would take, and Gabriel intended to take everything. It would be a glorious display, having the bastard chocolate wolf mounted on a pike, and this was exactly what Gabriel intended to do. After, of course, he burnt Dahlia de Mai to the ground—whatever it took to ensure they understood Inferni was not to be considered anything less then terrible, and to remind them the coyotes were to be feared and left alone; lest hell reign down.
