Oh family, what a strange thing.

Her family had expanded now to encompass the return of her son(s), her sister, and the four growing children in her den. It was full and bustling, but oh so very happy! She smiled as she brought a few small logs into the family cavern's central room and stacked them carefully. She struck the flint a few times and after a few small curses she managed to get the fire roaring beautifully. On rocks she laid out a few fish she had caught and placed them right next to the flames, hoping to make them nice and warm which would be a pleasant change to the colder temperatures they were enduring.

She hummed softly to herself, her fingers keeping time on an unseen piano. Eventually, the den began to smell like life and fresh cooking. if she had more time she would try to voyage down to the human cities and see about finding something real to cook on. Who knew? maybe she could even manage to cook a meal for the whole pack sometime!
