There was anger in Kaena as she saw the other canine, already on her feet, swaying gently as she stood there. The tawny coyote was in no position to be walking around; the silver-furred Centurion was only filled with rage as she saw this, anger at the girl's programming and Astaroth for having done this to her. She could not take but a moment for herself out of life. The Centurion stepped over the goat corpse quickly, her head down, and she shook her shaggy Secui head. In this halfling form, with her winter coat, the coyote woman appeared to be a fair bit larger than she actually was. Kaena's coyote blood was mountain-dwelling Eastern coyotes, rumored to have absorbed remnant wolf populations when humanity hunted the larger cousins to near-extinction in the lower forty-eight states.

The hybrid woman would not allow the other canine to prevaricate about the extent of her injuries; Kaena had yet to see them, thanks to the bandage, but the hybrid woman knew so soon after being injured that the Quintus should not have been on her feet. The silver-furred coyote shook her head firmly, yellowed eye glaring at Vieira sharply. "No, you're not." Her words were plain and blunt, though far softer than she wanted to speak. She wanted to yell at the other coyote till she curled up in her alcobe and didn't reappear for weeks; it was out-and-out stupid for her to have gotten up. "You'll eat, and then you'll lay back down," she continued, still shaking her head, though now she turned and took two paces backward to the goat, dragging it back and closer to the other canine.

Abandoning the corpse for the moment, the hybrid turned back around, tossing her muzzle downwards at it. "Eat," she commanded, still vibrating with anger, though she had it well-controlled, muzzled, and managed. Stalking back toward the bedding area where she slept, the hybrid woman began to shift as she walked, shrinking smaller to occupy less space within the already cramped cave. Her halfling form did not make for a roomy dwelling, and the coyote woman did not wish to eat in her Secui form. It would be uncomfortable to stoop so low to the ground. Her shift completed, the hybrid glanced back toward Vieira, intent on allowing the other canine to eat her fill before Kaena took any herself, even if this reversed the usual roles.
