The hybrid woman was not terribly used to tending to the injured—she sorely wished she had retained some of Naniko's salve. It certainly would have helped in this instance; the only thing the coyote had to show for that now was the empty jar that it had come from. Perhaps she could get salt water and bring it to Vieira to have her dash it over the wound, but Kaena had no idea if such a treatment was actually beneficial to wounds or not. The hybrid woman had used it for years, and she had never gotten a terrible infection like the one that had taken her eye after Kryptic had wounded it since taking that up. Still, now that the coyote woman knew there were better treatments for injury she thought they would do better for the tawny coyote.

The hybrid woman saw the blood on the other canine's hands; it appeared awkward and out of place on Vieira, something that certainly did not belong with what Kaena knew of her. The irony of it brought a half-smirk to the coyote's face, and she watched as Vieira stood up, drawing back from the entrance to the alcove. The coyote woman did not wish to banish the other coyote away to her room, but what else was there to do? She didn't want Viei moving any more than necessary—her wounds needed time to heal, and she certainly couldn't be wandering around outside or even cleaning the cave as she'd been doing. "Good," she stated simply in response, and tilted her head toward the entrance to the room. "You should lay back down." These things were said with less of an edge than anything else the hybrid woman had said thus far; she was losing the anger that had risen in her upon seeing the tawny coyote standing and moving around inside of the cave.
