The woman flinched and did not notice Kaena had looked at her and she barely caught the confession of the hybrid. Vieira did not know if this information could help her, if Kaena understood what was going inside her head. Ever since Astaroth and Sivaro's death, she had heard them constantly. She started to find ways to avoid them but her mind was not strong enough to hold out for log. She could push them back to a point but it never disappeared when they wanted to be there or whenever her mind was weak and her body was stressed. Now was a prime time. Kaena was being nice, she ached in pain, and overall she felt helpless and vulnerable more than ever.
She felt Kaena's gaze upon her and her nose angled downward farther. She did not want to be seen and if she could, she would have taken back what she said. Why it came out, she did not know, but she had asked it and Kaena returned a question. Her jaw tightened as she closed her eyes, wanting to shake her head and change her mind but she could not. "Him," she said quietly, whispering it into the bandage around her body. "Both of them sometimes," she added and her ears flicked upon her head before resting backward. Slowly, Vieira shook her head and decided to change her mind.
"I do not know," she whispered into her chest but she was not sure if it was loud enough. She could barely hear the formation of her words. Automatically, her fingers tapped on her hips and she snuggled her head further into her blankets to hide her face. "I'm sorry," she whispered again though it had no real direction and became lose in the fabrics of the blanket.
