In Character

Poor Sicarus had to drag himself back to Dahlia, and when Kai had found him all banged up he had been furious. No one was allowed to beat up his buddy, not by a long shot. Especially because then Kai had to be his provider, and while he and Sicarus were as tight as friends could be, it had really sucked needing to hunt for both of them. Still, he had done so because it was expected of him, and he had no issue with making sure he kept his roommate fed. Haku would no doubt expect such a thing from him, and if it gave Kai the boost he needed to get attention by their leader (who had, after his attack on Inferni, promoted Sicarus).

Once Sic had been ready to go, there was no question about what needed done. So now they were off, Sicarus with his stick thing in hand, to go raise some hell. Kai let out a laugh at his suggestion, and wagged his tail, amused by the idea—even the part about the big coyote who by all rights had to be a hybrid from the way Sic had described him. “Hah, yeah man. Maybe he’ll show up again and we can take him out. Won’t be so tough when two of us are here, yeah?” Shaking his neck, the wolf trotted on, slowing only as the unfamiliar wolf came up to his side. By his scent, he was a member of the pack, and Kai instantly accepted this as readily as he did Haku Soul’s leadership.

Still, Kai considered himself the leader of the group, and snorted at the dark wolf’s suggestion. “We’re gonna fuck up their little decorations,” he explained, jerking his head towards Sicarus’ weapon of choice. “Then yeah, we got some people to find. Name’s Kai,” he added, deciding it might be best to introduce himself so he wasn’t just considered the blue eyed timber wolf with the scarred haunch.
