Word Count: 300. And Jacoby, I figure that Maschine will probably spook since he hasn't been exposed to combat yet--just something to keep in mind. -totally not a horse geek-

In Character

Kai laughed boyishly as Sicarus rushed at the nearest skull and proceeded to use his stick to break it to pieces. Not far behind was Vitium, who used the pike itself to destroy the horrible place holders. On his toes, Kai was giddy with excitement, enthralled to finally strike at the coyotes. That was, of course, until the fuckers spotted them. A cry rose up from nearby and Kai’s tail and ears stood on end, hair raising all along his spine. Oh fuck. Before he had time to pinpoint the source, he heard another cry rise up, followed shortly by the thundering of hooves. To his horror, a maniac on some terrible looking beast came flying down towards them. He had a shiny stick in his hand, but he was going for Sicarus, not Kai, and he had no time to consider defending him. Quite suddenly, a coyote that looked like the giant Sic had described came barreling at him.

Kai pinned his ears and pulled his lips back, blue eyes flashing as he braced himself to meet the charge. The red eyed coyote slammed into him, and Kai went flying backwards, landing hard with the heavy Secui male on top of him. Unwilling to fall this easily, though knowing he was at a disadvantage due to his lack of experience, Kai began snapping wildly. His tail had curled instinctively over his groin, and his hind legs worked like pistons, trying to cut and throw the coyote off of him. Once he got back on his feet he would be able to grab the bastard, and once he did that he could rip his face off. That, right now, was his plan. Kai continued to snap at the Secui male’s face furiously, intent on gouging his pretty little eyes out.
