wc: 258 sorry for the small post :C

Levi nodded. “It means home.” He cleared his throat. His mother had named the mare, believing she would help him remember his home when he left. And it did. Every time he saw the pretty mare, images of his home, his family, clouded his mind.

He glanced at the pretty mare once more, chuckling at her and the other horse’s antics. He was clearly annoyed with being restrained. Levi was glad Bud wasn’t around. He loved the stallion, but sometimes he could be a real jerk.

The young female introduced herself, shaking his hand after a moment of regarding his action. She had a good, firm grip. He smiled at her, his tail wagging in a friendly gesture.

“Kaya is just being her typical friendly self. Your boy there, though, he is a bit annoyed right now.” He laughed. He asked, curious. He had always found tattoos to be very attractive, and he had been wanting one for a while. Of what, he wasn’t sure. Perhaps some intricate design… he would have to look into that.

He tore his eyes away from her soft, golden gaze, refocusing on the tree on the side of them. “What are these markings here? They are beautiful.” He looked back at her at the last word, grinning, knowing he was being a shameless flirt. But he really did want to know what they were, how they got to be there, and what they meant.
