The young, simple-minded coyote had only been there for a day, if that, when he had smelled a strange scent nearby. Nala had been standing in front of one of the skulls that lined the borders, staring at it intently as he tried to determine what, exactly, they meant. It seemed that they meant that the wolves had been eaten, causing him to wonder if they had any real food here. He had not gone out looking for anything to eat, as he was not sure where he was allowed to go, but he was not very pleased with the idea that they only ate wolves here. That was gross! It would probably be a good idea for him to ask someone, just incase, because he would need to learn how one actually ate a wolf, if that was the case. It idea was disgusting, but if that was the way that the coyotes lived here, then he would need to learn that trick. He was bound to get hungry sooner or later, and it would probably be sooner, rather than later! He was just that kind of boy.

The smell had caught his attention, surprisingly, and Nala was off at once to find the source of it. It was a foreign smell, something he was not used to at all, and he did not think that was a very good thing. This was a place meant for coyotes, and this smell did not seem like it belonged to a coyote or a member of Inferni. When he found the source, his golden eyes narrowed as he studied the small black canine. “You don’t belong here,” he said excitedly, tail wagging behind him. Thinking of what Anselm had told him upon his acceptance, Nala yapped excitedly, yipping for the hybrid to come to the borders. He could prove that he could do something, and then they could figure out what to do about this young girl! “I’m Nala, who’re you? How come you’re here?” There was a war going on, and even though he did not really understand the concept, it did not seem smart for her to be here, even outside of the borders. The leaders probably would not like it much.
