He sat near the edge of the boat throughout the whole trip, this was one of the craziest ideas his sister had ever had. Wolves were supposed to keep their feet on LAND, not Water. The whole time they’d been out to sea he’d been seasick, well he lost count after fifty. His fur was paler than normal, and as he watched as his sister write at nearly any possible moment he knew the sound of the quill on the book was soothing to his ears, he was much less seasick than he normally was when she was writing, and she was doing that all the time since they started off on the journey, he was surprised he hadn’t filled the book yet. He was thankful more than ever that the boat had stopped to let them off in the dinhgy; and thanked the crew for enduring his whole escapade, then started rowing frantically towards the shore. He listened to his sister as she spoke, and grumbled to himself for a second

He put all of his weight in rowing. The sooner he got to the beach the better, and the sooner he got a warm bath to get rid of the fleas he'd gathered from the ship crew, the even more better. It felt like he had mold under his fur, anywhere he could think of it felt soggy and gross, salt from the sea, and the salt water mixed in his fur making him feel dingy He looked to the sky, and groaned, more wetness to come, he was never going to get rid of the endless soak he’d been put up against. At least this will be freshwater was the thought he gave to himself
