The call rang loud and clear through the AniWayan lands, though it was a little hindered by the stuffiness and constancy of the rain. Tayui had been planning on coaxing Claudius out of the den that day to go hunting, but the rain had given the pale boy good enough reason to stay cooped up in their cave. Tayui had not wanted to stay in a stuffy, muggy cave all day, so she had decided to brave the weather and go out for a walk. She quickly discovered it was not the best of days for a walk, and soon enough, she had taken shelter beneath a grove of pine trees. Their needles kept her fairly dry at the base, and only every so often did rain penetrate the needles.

It was here beneath this tree that Tayui heard the call and set off. She sent out a howl of her own, answering Dawali's. As an afterthought, she sent out another one beckoning Claudius to come as well. Now that he was over a year old, he was a member of the tribe, and on the craftsman path, too. He had every right and responsibility to come out to the meeting.

Tayui arrived in the village soon enough; she had been quite close from her walk, and only had to jog a short distance before she arrived. She saw the newly constructed town hall and took a moment to admire the work. Tayui had not yet heard about the construction of this building, and she wondered if they would discuss it today. She doubted it; she suspected they would be discussing the Dahlian War today, which she was a little apprehensive about. Taking a deep breath, Tayui entered the town hall to see Dawali, Asha, and a new fellow already there. She offered the members a smile, and to Dawali, a greeting.

“Dawali,” she said with a respectful dip of her head. “I hope the winter has been treating you well,” she added. She took a seat beside Asha, waiting for the other members to arrive.
