Snorting a little, the older fae couldn't help but express her incredulity at such a prospect. Ghita was not one to get sick, beyond her miscarriage. Or hurt, for that matter, but the ship had sailed - she couldn't hide such a fact any more. Gently shaking her cranium from side to side, she let the short fur flap around, her earrings flashing in the low light as her ears flopped from side to side, all the while trying to not disturb her busy niece. "Non c'è motivo di preoccuparsi per la tua vecchia zia di ammalarsi - è abbastanza raro."

It was typical of the woman to act in this manner. Admit no weaknesses, and if they're discovered try to belittle them. Finally, if that doesn't work, her last line of defense was humor, make the situation lighter. Her young niece was quite like her mother, however, taking no nonsense from the sister*. Sea foam green met turquoise in a similar blaze, causing the turquoises to drop in something mimicking shame, or the simple act of giving up. It was unusual that Cambria would take such a stance, and Ghita had to wonder if it had something to do with her own hurts in the past. Letting out air, it reverberated around the pair, resembling a "Haaa..." in sound, the woman finally too drowsy to keep up her façade of uncaring. And yes, the cut did sting, although she wouldn't admit it.

The stinging woke Ghita from her hypnagogic state, listening to her niece as she worked at helping her aunt's wound. Instantly feeling guilty after her outburst for certainly startling the girl, Ghita blinked apologetically, biting at her snake bites a little as she held her tongue. Her mind reeled, still confused as to how something so similar to the drink that confused her head could help her shoulder. Musing as she listened, Ghita barely bit back the instinct to peer down at the cut, to see if all of the dirt and nasty things could be seen to the naked eye.

However, for all her other faults, Ghita was by no means an idiot. Quickly realizing that there was more to the subject than was immediately apparent, the fae grimaced, turning over onto her back to view her niece full on. Turquoises filled with appreciation and concern as the girl's mood took a 180 degree turn, the curtness of her tone one of many things to illustrate this point. The cloth finally removed, the worried aunt didn't take into account the telltale bandage that was about to be wrapped around her shoulder. She watched her niece with sparkling turquoises emanating with concern, the emotion visible even as the bandage wrapped tighter and tighter around her scratch.

Certain circumstances - most of them, really, would have Ghita protesting such a need for the cumbersome hinderance. However, the fae seemed to have larger and less selfish things to worry about, mainly her auburn niece. The response left Ghita worried, even more so as the girl excused herself. About to rise to her paws, Ghita opened her maw in protest, calling for her niece to come back, not run away as the aunt herself had too often done. "Cambria?!"

Anxiety was short lived, however, as Cambria returned, luckily sparing Ghita from employing her hindered leg until a later date. She wouldn't lie about it to herself - the ice both bit and healed on her shoulder, the cold eliciting mixed responses from the dust-hued fae. However, the focus was solely on her niece as if the sun had made a spotlight, barely noticing the words that Cambria brought up to explain the sudden cold. "Mi dispiace, Cambria. Che deve essere molto duro su di voi."

The same fae had experienced the other side of this conversation not months earlier, her brother having come to her side in search of the answers. Ghita wasn't a treasure trove, nor could she pretend to have the ability to make everything better - her tongue was tied in such a manner. If it were up to the older fae, perhaps Cambria would never know of how Ehno had lain with Naniko, the ivory wolfess having made such a vital strike against their family. Both sides of the story could be seen, however, and such was the curse of having two family members on either side. "Ti è non andare a causa dei cuccioli, oppure a causa di mio fratello?" Yes, that was a harder question to answer, but one necessary for both Ghita and Cambria to know.
