In Character

Looking at the implement of destruction in his own hand, Sicarus thought about maybe carrying something like this the next time they went into battle. The baseball bat had been useful, for certain, but it was far more boring to Sicarus to kill his foes in this manner. He liked to spray blood, he liked to taste the fear coursing through them. The tawny-furred werewolf did not know if he wished to give up that particular pleasure; it was just so nice to feel the other canine's despair and fear coursing through his hands as he tore through the flesh. Still, this was not the same as he was used to; that had been made perfectly clear to him the other day with the coyotes. War was infinitely different than hunting women back in the city streets—he had not been expecting full-out atacck the other day, and it had taken him sort of by surprise. Still, war was a chance for perpetrating more violence, and the tawny-furred werewolf couldn't pass that up. Haku demanded it, after all.

At the other canine's question the werewolf lifted his eyes to the other man again, something like relief showing on the Charme's face. "No. I just thought I'd take a break," he said. Kai didn't seem to be quite as picky of an eater as Sicarus was; the elder wolf had taken his time to slice off pieces of the meat before he devoured them. Both of them had been hungry, though—with their injuries it was making things far more sour, and Sic surely didn't hold it against his comrade for being snappish. He was certain that he had lost patience in the past few days, as well. At least now with full bellies they could relax some. Recuperation was key; sad as it was Sicarus did not think he would risk another attack before he was at least eighty percent well again, and that could take some time.
