Fae was not a great fighter. Where she had come from, only males were considered as warriors, if they could be called such. Her pack had been comprised of her blood relatives as well as a few stragglers they'd taken in; therefore, the group was small, without specifically named duties. Her brother, father, and a male named Pollux were the only ones expected to fight. But she, as any wolf, had tussled quite a bit with her siblings as she matured. What little experience she retained stayed with her, and she was trying her best to remember the best moves. Size was on her side, so she fully expected to win this fight with at least this advantage of hers.

She succeed in knocking him askew, but he was up on his feet in no time at all. God, was he going to be one of those coyotes with unending energy? Slapping him around wouldn't do, because now that she thought of it, he probably had more stamina than she. Blood was the only way. While she was considering, she was surprised by the stinging grasp of razor-sharp fangs, the pinches and itches of scrabbling claws. "Fuck!" she exclaimed, infuriated by his ability to catch her unguarded. Fae pulled back, not caring if she dragged him with her, just to loosen his grasp. She then drove at him with fangs bared, snapping for the loose flesh at his cheek, and his blood.
