Nala trotted happily along the coast, nosing his way into every bush, tree trunk, or cluster of grass that he could find. After all his time in Inferni, he could recognize the scent of those silly Dahlians easily. Aside from Anselm, he'd only actually met those pesky wolves, so it was pretty easy for him to remember the scent, since he didn't have a bunch of them muddling his memory. Nope, things were pretty simple right now, and he knew that he was getting very close to the pack's territory. He was not quite there yet, but he would be soon. The young, scrawny coyote did not know exactly what it was that he was going to do when he got to Dahlia de Mai, but he knew it would be something! He knew that the Dahlians were coming over to Inferni to be mean, so he was going to do what he could do fight for the clan. He was going to make Anselm proud!
"Hm, hm, hmmm," he hummed to himself repeatedly, no real tune actually present. Generally, Nala liked to keep himself company by talking, humming, or singing (quite terribly) to himself. Today, he had decided to hum! If he had company, things would have been so much easier, and he would be a lot less lonely, he decided. They could go take on some Dahlians together! Maybe his friend Minos could help him. It did not occur to him as he stopped on the sandy beach just outside a boundary, waiting for someone to find him, that Minos actually was a Dahlian and that it was highly unlikely that Minos would actually help him beat up wolves. He was going to have to do this alone. It couldn't be that hard, because after all, he had beaten up Myrtle pretty good, all by himself!
