The winter world was starting to melt away and she was confident that when her new litter was born its traces would be gone nearly completely. That suited her perfectly, for she saw no better time to bring new life into the world than the spring when everything else in the world was being reborn as well. Savina thought back to the conversation she had had with her son all those months ago, where they had decided that with the leadership of the moles, the small animals the world helped to replant the world as the Earth warmed. It made her smile and she wondered if Gotham would wish to share their theories with his younger siblings when they were born. She knew that she wanted to share it with them, but she thought it would be a nice bonding moment if Gotham would. Besides, the ideas were just as much his concoction as her own, if not more.

The Commander had been lying out on the front porch of the mansion but slowly rose to her feet and shook out her ebony pelt. Being a little over a moon into her pregnancy now her condition was clearly announced by her swollen belly that curved off her normally svelte form. Emeralds peering out at the lands she called home with compassion she descended the stairs and moved off in the direction of the lake. A nice cool drink of water sounded wonderful and thankfully now the lake wasn't so encrusted with ice. It wouldn't be long before trips outside the mansion would halt and she needed to take advantage of her ability to do so now. That also meant that she needed to reestablish her den in one of the main level rooms. Sure footed as she was, she wouldn't take a risk with her pups' lives by chancing a fall on the stairs.

Soon the glistening, still water came into view and with it a familiar and comforting scent. A smile curved the femme's lips as she searched around for the body of her Lt. General to go with her smell. There she was, next to the water. Savina walked carefully up to Anu and nudged her shoulder with her snout. "Nice day for a walk, yes?"
