Having someone to share such a special relationship with was a wonderful thing. Even thinking of them for the most fleeting moment or hearing their name uttered could bring the biggest smile to your face. Such a thing was true of her, and it was clear that it was true for Anu as well. She hadn't faced the hardships of love that the elder fey had, but she had had to wait a very long time before she had first felt the excitement that came with new love. Kansas had been her first, and she was confident that there would never be anyone else for her but him. The Italian woman couldn't picture herself with anyone but him. She had yet to see her friend and the ex-Dahlian with one another, but it wasn't hard to imagine what they must look like. Happy was the word that sprung to her mind. They both deserved that happiness.

The Commander couldn't wait to see how full and lovely the garden this year would be with the talents of both Anu and Colibri tending to it. The garden had been a favorite spot for her pups, she knew. They could find their favorite insect friends there. Butterflies for her two girls and dragonflies for her handsome son. Would her next litter have a similar affinity for the flying bugs of spring and summer? So many questions buzzed through her head about what the lives growing inside her would be like, but she knew that only time would reveal those answers. Savina would be happy to wait and watch and hope that time slowed down so she could catch every second. "I think it will, yes," the sable fey said with a smile, her tail wagging happily. Despite all the turmoil they had endured and that loomed right outside their borders there was an undeniable feeling of promise for the new season.

Savina waited with baited breath for Anu's reaction. The question she had asked was delicate and very personal and she feared she might have overstepped her bounds with it. She and Anu were dear friends, as close as friends got, but still it could be a dangerous question to ask. The last thing she wanted was to bring up something that caused the elder woman any bit of pain or trepidation. Thankfully the Lt. General didn't seem upset, only thoughtful. The pregnant fey nodded her head, following Anu's ques, not wanting to push the topic any further than her friend wanted it to go. As the sorrowful words trailed off though she couldn't help but press a little further. "Don't know what?" she queried kindly. She didn't know either, but maybe they could figure it out together.
