Quiet on the Front

we can end this here or soon :]

Anything that was good came with a price, as nothing in the world was free. Just as Anu thought the idea Savina spoke, her question one Anu could easily answer. She nodded and replied with a small sigh of agreement. She was right; nothing in the world that had ever been meaningful had come easily. She had fought to live here, leaving another pack and shedding many tears in the process. She had also battled to return to a place where her heart was able to love again, and though Anu was rarely lost to love it had not been easy repairing the damage her heart had suffered. And then she had warred against Haku for the woman she loved now. Savina was not without her own experiences, fighting her own battles and winning many. Though, as Anu stood beside her she was glad to say, “But after, when it’s all over its easy to forget how hard it was. And you still appreciate it more.” Anu could look at Colibri and forget the fighting and the wounds, she could live in the moment that those hard times had brought them but Anu did not have to live in that past. Maybe this could be the same, and maybe it wouldn’t be as hard as she thought. Hopeful, Anu could smile.

The two sat together, eyes lingering on one another or the lake that stood before them. Their home, the place that they loved. Her Commander was someone that she would always listen to, but she was also her friend that she would always seek advice form. Anu believed Savina, cherished the relationship that they held and never wanted them to be apart. It had taken her most of her life to become to close to the pack members she had, and to gain the trust and status she held. Anu was not a born leader, and in the end she would only sit beside Savi and hold such a rank. Her words were something that hit so close to her heart that Anu felt a wave of emotion wash over her. That was what she wanted, she wanted that so badly that it ached. “I should.” She said, her words slightly choked. What it would take was obvious, and yet there were so many questions that went right along with it. But it was worth a simple conversation.
