This wasn't a fact of life that was hard to see, and of course Anu already knew it. But sometimes you just needed to hear it out loud to remind yourself of it. They both lead busy lives and it could be hard to stay grounded and logical at times. Her ears dipped slightly at her friend's sigh, knowing that despite this truth it still would be no easy decision. Savina was glad that she would never have to choose between having the pups she wanted or staying completely loyal to her love. In this case though it wouldn't be the same sort of disloyalty that could destroy a relationship. It could cause problems, but it wasn't disloyalty out of pleasure seeking but to have something more that both partners could share.

The smile returned to her face as Anu spoke her own sentiments, glad that her more experienced friend saw things in the same light. "Exactly," she agreed. No one would ever claim that childbirth was easy. It was painful, and it could be incredibly dangerous to the mother, but when you saw the newborn forms of your pups all of the pain and the worry and the struggle melted away. When you saw them, alive and well, that was all that mattered. Savina had no doubt that pups would heal whatever tribulations that would trouble the couple in their conception. Just as Anu had loved the children not born unto her, so too would Colibri. At least the mother saw no other outcome to such a thing. The Commander had seen that adoration for pups and that caring nature in the girl.

Silence settled comfortably between the two friends for some moments before the Lt. General spoke again, her voice strained and thick with the emotions that flooded her chest. Savina leaned close to the tawny woman, lightly resting her muzzle against her shoulder. There was really nothing more she could say. She could only be supportive, and be there for Anu, and that was what the contact signified. It was a quiet admission that she would always be there for her no matter what. Savina would never abandon her or be uncaring of her problems.
