OOC: 510 words; sorry it took so long, work has been stressful

The pup had taken to exploring yet again. He just couldn’t help himself. He had too much energy to stay in a single place. He couldn’t really be blamed could he? There was still just so much to see and explore. There was so much to do and very little daylight hours to do it all in. But he planned on making do with what time he had. So while his Mommy was sleeping he snuck out to start exploring. The sun had just started to peek over the horizon when he had headed out. He took off in a single direction and headed straight on off. He hadn’t explored the way he was going yet and so he wanted to get as far as he could before he would end up having to turn back. He wanted to get as far as he could before his Mommy came looking for him. He wanted to see as much of the land as possible. Which is why he had set out early and at a run. He eventually made his way towards the coast. Not that he actually knew that was the way that he was going. Instead he was just curious as to what was on that side of the land.

The sun had crept its way slowly upwards as the pup finally got to the land known as Beast’s Grin. Not that Lotus realized the name of it. Oh no, it was the small sea life that had attracted his attention. The animals in the water were weird. They weren’t like anything that he had ever seen before. There were squishy looking things with a lot of legs and others that were hard but still had a lot of legs. This was the pup’s first time anywhere near the ocean. His first time experiencing sea life. But then with how young he was he was only destined to have a lot of firsts. But this was something he would definitely have to tell his Mommy about when she found him again. All of these strange little things. Hey, maybe he could bring some home with him. That would really be fun. He would get to see them every day that way. He wouldn’t have to come all the way out this way in order to see them.

A paw reached out to poke at the marine animals. But that paw quickly retracted as a crab clamped a claw down on it. “Oww! Hey! What did you do that for?” Yes, he actually questioned the crustacean. “That really hurts!” The words were whined out as he shook his paw, trying to shake off the hold of the crab. The crab didn’t seem to want to let go though. The pup hobbled backwards away from the water still shaking his paw desperately. It was a hard way to learn a lesson but no doubt he won’t be poking at the hard things again. They weren’t very nice. If you poked them then they would bite you and try to eat you.
