Digging Up The Past

OOC here: Sorry, ended up getting distracted yesterday and then internet went down for awhile; 550 words

As has become a habit Izaak was out exploring away from Inferni again. He had met quite a few during this routine. Had been a few places. And found a ton of interesting things. On every trip he found something to bring back with him. Something extra to place on his Unky Cotl's bed. Something that he ended up forgetting about the next time that something new was brought back. What the older male did with all the stuff that the boy brought back was uncertain. Izaak generally forgot about all the things that he brought back so it didn't quite matter. He could hardly remember what he brought back because his attention slipped that easily to some new thing. The items could easily be tossed out or hidden and Izaak wouldn't know the difference. He always finds something else to steal his attention and interest. There is always something else for him to want to partake in and of. Always something else that he ends up bringing back and forgetting all about. But that was just the way that the coyote boy was. There were so many things that captured his attention but none that seemed able to hold it for too long a period of time.

Izaak hadn't gone all too far from Inferni this time. He was still a good distance away but he hadn't traveled near where other packs were. Not as he usually seemed to do. This time he had stuck to the north. Instead of traveling south he had gone to the west. Gone just about as far as he could go. He had romped through the trees until he had found a hidden village. It looked nothing like the city of Halifax that his brother/cousin had told him about. No, it seemed too simple to be that place. So he had no idea what it really was. Just that it was small and hidden and time didn't seem to have caused too make damage. Buildings were still standing and didn't seem on the verge of collapse. The buildings here seemed to have been sturdily built. Though they were small, nothing at all like the mansion that he was staying in. But that smallness seemed to make them cozy rather than claustrophobic.

Izaak moved slowly around the small village, staring in amazement at this hidden little world. Outside one of the cabins he found a wooden wagon. He ended up grabbing the handle and pulling it around behind him as he continued to explore. One the porch of another cabin he found a small butter churn and placed it on the wagon simply because it looked interesting. He had no idea what it was and so he had to take it back to show his Unky Cotl and ask about it. It was what he did with everything that he found of interest since he had no idea what hardly anything was. His wagon was left on the porch of another house, he had tried to pull it inside but it wouldn't fit through the door, as he went inside to look around. In the pantry he found some preserves and took them back to the wagon to sit inside with the churn. It took a few trips to get all of the jars plus an old milk jug. He continued to explore the house, looking for more things to take with him and show off.

Table by leroy. I'm so sorry to have kept you waiting I forgot.

Ayita padded along the old human town she wasn't normally out and about and felt the need to restrech her wiings and fly a bit. She looked around seeing if there was anything worth something that she could bring home maybe as a gift to her loving mate who she saw very little of. Though that was her fault and she felt bad. So maybe out here there was something good to find.

She found herself looking in all sorts off odd places poking her nose under what ever she could. She Stood up brushing off the dirt. God it was awful out here she was surprised to see that anything the humans built stood for this long. Though she wondered it their kind could do the same.

Turning she pushed into a house to poke around maybe she could find something of use. She could also bring things home for the house.

OOC here: It's fine, I understand that things come up and happen; 304 words

Izaak was quite the scavenger. He was able to find a number of things. Just ask his Unky Cotl since he was always filling the other's bed with random junk. Junk that would end up disappearing by the next time that the young coyote boy brought back something else to place there. No doubt that will happen to this wagon of stuff that he was currently packing up. He would bring it back to show off then forget about it as he found something else to interest him. There were only a few things that he hadn't forgotten about. Well, only two actually. The first was the tail tied to his own and the second was his baby reindeer back in Inferni.

Izaak had another armful of things in his arms when he heard someone else moving about in the house. He exited the bedroom with a music box in his hands, something he planned on giving his brother, and seen the female. "Hallo. Wer sind Sie?" He automatically spoke in German without really thinking about it. It was something that he always did. He tried German first but generally had to end up switching to English instead because very few seemed to understand him.

He slipped to the door where his wagon was and placed the music box inside, as well as the couple of quilts that he had. "Suchen Sie etwas?" He was once again addressing the female. He hadn't exactly gone through the whole house yet but he had explored a couple of rooms. He didn't mind sharing his finds though. Most of it he just wanted to show off anyways. And well, it was always more fun exploring with someone else. Twice as much could be covered and found and carried back. At least that was his opinion on it.

Ayita looked up at the other she hadn't even noticed him. God had given her a nose and dammit you think she'd use it. Of course not she looked around to see if there was anyone else and quite happy to only find him. she smiled as she looked at him. "I beg your pardon I speak french but russian is one I just can't seem to understand." She should learn though there were many in her pack that spoke the language. "Can you speak english." She asked standing up. No sense trying to figure out what the man asked better just to ask him to speak in the same language. Blue eyes cast over the area it seemed safe enough.

"German." The coyote child spoke up, figuring that Russian was some other language seeing as she said that she didn't speak it. Truthfully Izaak had never encountered Russian before. All he knew were German and English. They were the same as the rest of his family knew. But German being his birth tongue it was what he chose to use first. It was just an instinct to speak in German rather than English. But he could switch between the two easily enough. Though his statements were often broken and not exactly grammatically correct when he spoke in English. Still, he tried his best to make himself understood. His accent got in the way at times though. But that was something that he couldn't help at all. It wasn't like he could turn his accent off. It was just a part of what made him who he was.

"I asks who are yous an if yous look for sometins." Izaak translated the questions from prior. Not a very good translation but he had done his best. "I helps yous fines." After all he had quite a few things in his wagon already. He could let her know if he had seen whatever it was she was after or if he might have already collected it. After all he had started rummaging through this house before she had ever entered it.

After giving a moment or two for thought Izaak picked up one of the quilts that he had placed down and picked it back up. "Yous wants?" The boy asked and held the quilt out to the female. He took steps towards the other, holding the offering out in outstretched hands. After all he already had another quilt in his wagon so it wasn't like he would miss it. And with there being still more houses to explore he could probably still easily be able to find another to replace it with.
