The large frame, the rippling muscles, taunt sinew, and those deadly fangs of his all presented the perfect picture of the Wahrer wolf. The large Secui body of his had it’s nose held firmly to the ground as he was yet again wandering along the borders doing his duty of looking for threats, trespassers and other creatures of interest that would demand his attention and further investigation. So far Saluce had fallen into the roll rather than requested it, and somehow it fitted him. Secretly he hoped to continue to prove himself and continue to move up in the ranks to become a greater help to Connor. But now though his patrols where becoming more self fulfilling; Layla was pregnant with his children and now it seemed more pressing to make sure the rose packs borders where safe. It also meant he was making sure his loved one wasn’t leaving Dahlia as well without him knowing. Somehow he knew she wouldn’t do such a thing to him, but still he was a little suspicious, and those fatherly instincts where driving him crazy with providing the duties she needed him too. So far he had swarmed around the house like a madman fixing doors, fixing windows, shoring up leaks, creating a den for her in the main living area near the fire place. If there was a happier father to be, most people would be hard pressed to find one. And he had even made a small little door for them to come and go in wolf for as well.

The behemoth took a moment to pause where he was, sitting down on his haunches in a huff. He’d have to hunt again, Layla was becoming hungrier and unable to get out of the house as often as he knew she’d like to. Already Saluce knew this pregnancy was hard on her, she wasn’t very far along and already she was spending a lot of time in bed. Maybe he’d have to seek out someone outside of dahlia who’d been through pregnancies before to come and check on her. But for now the massive grey wolf sat in thought, cool blue eyes gazing around the landscape wondering where he would go hunt. Knowing by himself he would have to pick smaller game, or risk coming back home injured and having his darling worry over him again. For the moment the male sat there licking his paw clean, taking a moment to clean himself, to lick away some of the days dirt along his legs. The great wolf then stood back up his imposing figure once again on the move, darting along the brush a beast out of place along such small flora.

The warrior, Wahrer rather was on the move; maybe he’d meet some of the new acquisitions to the pack and size them up. See if any where worth recruiting into his mates and his fold, to protect the pack. He already had to recruit against Bris and Connor so it was a fun game to see if he could find suitable Spahers to help perform the duties that the two of them wouldn’t be able to do later on when he was taking care of her and his children. So far Nayru was turning out nicely in her training, and if he found another to help with those duties they would be a lot better off. But who knew, most of the wolves in Dahlia wanted to be healers or other professions, so as the great wolf continued his slow trot, he didn’t know who he would meet today.

Hii. I thought I'd throw Rynnas in here, since he's interested in border greeting. AND it's something he did in his old pack. Big Grin
WC: 565

For the first time in a while, Rynnas had drifted away from his brother's former home. Ever since Bris had brought him to Eli's tree house, the massive found himself greatly reluctant to leave. He knew it was silly, but just being there made him feel as though he could cling to the memories more easily, keep them close and alive. Such logic was fallible – it didn't matter where he was or who he was with, the male's constant thought of his belated brother kept the memories alive. If anything, being around the places Eli spent most of his time was more painful. It was time for him to take a break.

He left Tumblety asleep in his roost, sure he'd be back before the bat woke up. The male took one last look at the clearing, his hand resting on the table on which he kept all his building plans. Just before he began walking, he remembered to unbuckle his tool belt, setting it carefully in its place. As he moved along, he shifted to his secui form in order to travel easier on all fours. He decided not to shift all the way, figuring that he'd work more on the house later when he got back.

The further away he got, the more his anxiety lessened, something that came as a lucky surprise. Rynnas was grateful for it. He figured that his trip away would be spent with him worrying about what was going on back at the clearing. Instead he found he was able to focus on his surroundings, investigate a few scents that caught his interest. He traveled in a sort of zigzag fashion, his path going from one thing to another as he walked. He wasn't in any hurry, having no destination in mind. Once or twice he thought of visiting Bris, but he was in no mood to keep himself in check when around her. In this mood he had no idea what he'd end up saying to her. He'd already decided from the beginning that he'd never tell his friend how he felt – it would only lead to disaster and a feeling of awkwardness that would never go away. Of this he was sure. So he kept his distance to an extent, letting her visit him rather than seeking her out himself. It just seemed more appropriate that way.

He was distracted by these troubling thoughts, his attention turned inward for the time being. He forgot about watching out for things to examine closer and as a result the male almost missed Saluce's presence entirely. Once the large male's scent caught his attention, Rynnas put aside his ruminations and trotted forward to greet the male. This was another pleasant surprise – not only had the male only met a few wolves from the pack, he knew that meeting someone new would distract him further from his problems. He offered Saluce a slight smile as he came to a stop a little ways from the wolf. He didn't know why, but it was nice to see a wolf around his size, too. Being around Nayru and Bris always made him feel like a giant. He missed being around wolves that were big like him. It reminded him of Jasper Valley. Hey there. He spoke pleasantly enough, dipping his maw in greeting.

ello!

Ears where attentive, raised high on his head, stature showing not even a bit of submissive behavior as the foreign wolf approached. Judging by his actions the behemoth figured he was a new acquisition to the pack, another stray, and another lost soul. Eyes silent gauged the wolf, while his nose went about gathering more information from his scent. Dahlia hung to him lightly, lightly enough for him to look upon the wolf with suspicion. Saluce wouldn’t greet him with outright hostility but until he gathered more information about the wolf that challenged him size wise he would regard him carefully. The grey circled around the friendly greeting wolf, still silent, still very much judging his appearance in a more wolf life fashion then he normally would otherwise.

Always judging and suspicious Saluce listened to the new wolf’s words; again he spoke as if he belonged here. Undoubtedly Connor had added another to the fold and with a shake of his head, body energized, and the habit of staying still was never an easy thing for him. Sitting down in front of the wolf, at ease for the moment his blues looked over at him with interest. Clearly impressed so far with his physical appearance enough so that giving this new wolf a moment of his time was acceptable to his current plans.

“Bonjour” the grey spoke softly in his native tounge. “I assume your another stray, or wandered that Connor has accepted into our merry little band of misfits, vagabonds, and mutts?” his words weren’t without a sense of humor to them. Saluce wouldn’t outright make him uncomfortable without the knowledge he needed to know to let his guard down. But It didn’t mean he couldn't test him with a greeting that one wouldn’t expect.

“What brings you out this way?” he asked quietly form still holding its dominant stature.
