Let me know if you want others welcome! This is near PV.

"One, two... three!" The words escaped her muzzle just as she dived her open mouth down into the seawater. Her head thrashed about somewhat, but came up quick.. and empty. The big creature sighed, her tongue sticking out at the distaste of salt. There went another fish!

She found herself around the shoreline, standing upon a decent-sized rock (as smaller ones made her feet slip and scare away the prey), looking into a small area where the sea pooled in.. and so did fish every now and again. When she first entered the area, Malachi smelled the faint smell of territorial marks, but made sure to stay away from where the smell was strongest. The creature was hungry, and nothing could really deter her from satisfying it. The brown creature stood there, inwardly shaking a little as she let herself get splashed from an oncoming wave. She would have to push her fear down.. if it meant the chance for fish. Luckily for her, the water was quite clear.. clearer than the other bodies of water she had come across lately.

She spotted a small fish with brightly colored scales, but size didn't matter at this point. Mala was cold, wet, tired, and hungry. She kept her poofy body as still as possible, watching as it waded with the water and into the small pool area. This was Mala's chance.
Mala gulped quietly, and braced her front paws against the rock as she dived head-first into the water. Her big jaws clenched around something squishy, but with her eyes shut she couldn't tell what she grabbed. As quick as the head-strike of a snake, she came back up, and to her surprise she felt something wriggle in her teeth.

Ah ha!

The fish wasn't big, but it was something! Malachi still felt proud of herself.. if only her family could see her now! Deciding it was time to get out of harm's way before high tide, Malachi turned to hop from rock to rock until she hit wet sand. What happened instead, though, was that she lost her footing and slipped tail-first into a smaller pool, and her yelp of surprise nearly caused her to lose her lunch! Quickly, she regained herself despite the fall, and felt her jaw clench harder on the fish she caught.
Her big paws made great prints in the sand as she waddled away from where the water came up, and finally dropped her wriggling catch. The creature shook herself, deciding it best to let the warm sun of early afternoon bake her food, and warm her own self up.
