Their coupling had left him completely breathless and he knew that he could not have risen from their bed even if he had wanted to. The sleepiness that had been shaken dramatically off when Princess had come into the room and started being so deliciously naughty was starting to settle back into his bones. He didn't really mind though, cause he could think of no better follow up to their little romp than falling asleep with Princess wrapped securely in his strong arms. The Knight held his Lady close, his tail thumping softly against the bed. He playfully licked her nose when she was settled against him, looking into her golden orbs with all the love his heart contained for her. He loved her so, and knew that he could never want anyone else.

"I love you," he said softly, meaningfully. He buried his nose in her curled locks, drowning himself in her scent. As unconsciousness began to tug at him, a few thoughts drifted to the surface of his mind: this was the first time they had made love since he had brought up the prospect of having children to her. Had this been her cue to him that she was ready to try? Would this result in a family for them? Hazy thoughts of half-formed images of pups bounced in the Knights head and, if possible, made his smile even wider. He hugged her tighter momentarily before he let his eyes drift shut and slipped silently into the dreaming world.

The young woman knew what could happen from their union, and she knew that if they did begin a family, there was no one she wanted that with besides the chivalrous man lying beside her. Haven had not broached the subject again after their talk about it when Ruri and Heath had become parents, and she was thankful that he had not pressured her to give him an answer, though she knew that he absolutely would never do that. She had been lucky enough to find one of the most amazing men in the world and she had fallen in love with him, and they were simply perfect for each other. She could not have possibly asked for more.

"I love you, too," she responded, enjoying the closeness that he held her with. Lithe fingers smoothed over the furt of his strong chest as her hand rested on him. Princess could feel him beginning to drift off, and it was so strange for him to be doing so that she smiled. Normally he was out and about and performing his duties as the pack's Knight, but she was proud of herself that he was staying in bed with her now. She had, after all, interrupted his nap, so she supposed he only deserved to be allowed to sleep now, content and in love. Princess cuddled herself closer against him and closed her eyes, waiting for sleep to claim her now, as well.
