Hey there, Amanda! :3

I know you've received PMs and assistance from others thus far -- great! Your post looks mostly okay; there's just two things I wanted to address with you before I get you accepted:

The first issue is a bit more important than the second. :3 In Kasume's profile description, you refer to her as having lime green fur. Natural fur color must be realistic at 'Souls -- while we aren't extremely picky about fur patterns, we do expect coloration to remain natural. :3 The Fur section of the Appearance page over on the RP Guide might help you out here.

We do allow for characters to have dyed and modified fur -- however, that requires a knowledge of dying plants, and also requires your character to be a Luperci! After all, hands would make it much easier to dye than paws. :3 In addition, Kasume is a darker-colored character -- consider making the areas you want to dye paler than her black fur, as it's easier for the color to show through and the color won't fade as quickly.

Can you just fix this part of your character's profile up for me? You can: a) remove the mention of green fur; b) change that she is a Luperci and make her proficient in dying techniques; or c) some other alternative I haven't figured out -- if you have any ideas that seem plausible, feel free to ask about them!

If you need assistance in figuring anything out, please feel free to Private Message me. I also have Yahoo! IM if that makes things easier for you, or you can hop onto our chatroom.

When you've fixed this issue up, I will accept you!

The second issue is less important than the first. In your post, you use asterisks to indicate character thought. While that's technically okay, it's much cleaner and neater to use italics to display thought. You should also try to use bolded text to display character speech -- again, this just makes it a lot easier for others to read your posts! If you're not sure how you can do this, here's the BBcode for you:

Code:
[i]What was i thinkin....[/i] she thought to herself, then felt a grumble in her stomach. [i]Great...now im hungry...I cant hunt on my own....[/i] She contiuned to think to herself. She then sighed with disbelief. [b]"Might as well keep moving."[/b] She said to herself aloud.

That'll end up looking like this:

Quote:What was i thinkin.... she thought to herself, then felt a grumble in her stomach. Great...now im hungry...I cant hunt on my own.... She contiuned to think to herself. She then sighed with disbelief. "Might as well keep moving." She said to herself aloud.

I notice you also tried to use HTML line breaks (the
tag) in your original post, which I edited out. :3 HTML only works if you wrap your text in the doHTML code (without the asterisks): [*dohtml](HTML Code Here)[/*dohtml] HTML or BBcode is fine to work with -- whichever you're more comfortable with!

I would appreciate it if you edited your post to reflect this just to show you understand what the heck I'm talking about, but you don't have to if you know what I mean with these little fiddly codes. ^_^

Welcome to 'Souls!

Congratulations! You've been accepted into the craziest bunch of roleplayers on the vast Internet! Please remember to make your first In Character post within five days.

Not sure where or how to start roleplaying? You can check the Open Threads and Thread Requests forum for a list of open threads, as well as tons of people looking to plot out adventures with your new character! You can also start your own thread and see what kinds of interesting characters turn up for you. If you haven't already, please update your profile with detailed information on your character -- it'll help others get a feel for him/her, which in turn will help generate thread ideas.

You can also start doing other cool things like:

  • Earning Word of the Day points, which can get you custom titles and even icons!
  • Fulling requirements for the Catacombs, our IC and OOC achievement system.
  • Participate in general chats and discussions in OOC Garbage.

You can find general roleplay help and guidelines, as well as a wealth of information on our werewolves and the 'Soulsverse on the RP Guide. Don't feel pressured to read it all at once though! The guide is a huge resource and is meant to be used as a reference for various aspects of the game. If you're feeling lost or confused, don't hesitate to post a question in Roleplay Aides, or to seek out a Mentor.
