Since getting the boat brought over from the island Ima had set to working on it. It was just something that he had to have. Clearly he collected types of transportation. Not only did he have a horse but a wagon, and now a boat to add to that. Having been kept sheltered from elements it really didn't need much in the way of repairs. It was more upkeep sort of work that was needed. The paint was chipped and peeling but that was only cosmetic. It wasn't something that he was worried about. No, he wanted it to be able to be placed on the water without sinking or anything. He wanted it to be on the water and not taking on water.
Of course there was only one way to find out and that was to take it out on the water and see. That involved putting it in the water and seeing how it would hold up. That also had him wading out into the water with it just in case that it didn't work out. But so far so good. He was happy that it stayed afloat. He grinned and returned the boat to shore so that he could add things into it. Of course those things would be his cocoa beans, sugarcane, rum, and maple syrup. He had to have his snacks with him always. They were his addiction. He needed them.
He had the items in a bag and laid them in the bottom of the boat. Sessane was out and doing whatever she was doing wherever she was doing it. He had no idea what it was because she wasn't in the cave when he had gotten up. He had wanted to show her but that proved to be an impossibility since he didn't know where she was. His next thought was to show the female that had helped him carry it over that it was really worth it. But he had no idea where to find her either. He ended up sending up a short call to see if either of the two would respond.
