New table, so no idea how it works!
Terra enjoyed traveling down south. She'd yet to check out the pack she vaguely smelled down there, but she did enjoy the area around it. In one of these peaceful stretches Terra was laying on a rock, trying to catch the last few wisps of sunlight as it went down. It was getting colder out, making Terra glad for the protection of her pack. Those that were on their own would have a much tougher time surviving the cold. Not all the canines Terra had met had been lucky enough to have a nice coat like her.
Earlier she'd tried hunting, only to have all the prey she'd come across escape. That was another reason why she'd joined a pack. While she was perfectly capable of hunting in a pack, fending for herself was difficult. This was odd considering how half of her life had been spent living alone. Terra hadn't been taught how to hunt though, forcing her to rely on her talents as a thief and scavenger. It wasn't honorable, but it had kept her from starving. Still, she would do her best to rectify the situation as soon as possible.
Relaxed Terra thought about what had happened the other day. The intruder had the worn look of someone used to living alone, yet didn't seem to have any instincts guiding her. The sharp contrast was confusing for her. Terra knew that not all canines were as connected to their instincts as she was, yet this pup who had been living on her own had absolutely none. How had she survived? Sighing Terra curled up, enjoying the small bit of warmth left.
