bit by bit torn apart, we never win

It seemed that after all the excitement the women of the pack knew better than to stick around. Firefly didn't meet the gaze of her leader as the woman spoke softly to the little puppies before exiting the Lillium's house. Firefly didn't know why she'd run the man off or why he'd even left in the first place. She knew it wasn't like Haku to admit defeat and she'd thrown everything before him infront of his own pack. The woman's blood was beginning to cool as she slowed her breathing and nuzzled the small forms of her children before sighing softly and wiping the tears away.

She didn't want to talk about it, she didn't want to think about it. Mateships, complete with puppies and families were suppose to be happy and filled with good emotions. All she felt now was sadness and pain. She was alone with their children and she had pushed their father out of the picture without a single thought. She shuddered at the thought and wished that he would just come back and be hers again.. but she knew that was just a daydream.. he'd never just been hers and now he was even less hers than before, if they even remained anything at all. She laid her head down across the backs of the small babes as she stared into nothing, her thoughts lost even to her.
