They made a fantastical team! Cambria was in that moment convinced that with Amata by her side they could accomplish anything they wanted to. If they could open that stubborn jar then anything was possible! The pup giggled as her sister shoved their victory in the face of the jar lid (did jar lids have faces? well, if they did Amata would find it). The creamy pup's parading and chanting gave even a higher sense of triumph to their task and she thought that placing Leafy in his home was perhaps one of the most exciting and momentous occasions is her short life so far. Few other things she could remember held such a weight to them. It was a different weight than what had been holding her down though, this weight lifted her up instead of smothering her. It was a good feeling to have after all that time of sadness and bad thoughts.
Cambria smiled so broadly her face hurt as her sister crashed into her and showered her with kisses. Her tail wagged furiously and she did her best to return some of the kisses back to Amata. Yes, she had chosen goodly with the jar, but none of this would have happened without Amata. She had found Leafy and brought him to her and made her feel happy again. She was the one who had gone into the cabinet and retrieved the jar and the one who had helped open it. To Cambria, this had just as much to do with Amata as it had to do with herself. A light, airy laugh came from the pup's lips. The kind of laugh that all pups were supposed to make instead of being secluded and depressed.
As Amata stepped back the darker girl nodded her head. Yes, that was exactly what they needed to do! And there was no one better to ask than momma and dadda. "Yes yes! We can go finds them and asks them!" It was important knowledge for her to gain as quickly as possible so Leafy wouldn't have to wait for his food!
