It had been a few weeks since Silas had wandered to the borders of Inferni hoping to find out some information on the clan. The Russos had come in search of Rurik’s first sons, and along the way they knew they’d need to find out who was living here in Nova Scotia. Doing a little scouting, Silas and his family had come to learn the names of the packs that were situated around here, but so far, had decided to stay settled in their dusty rooms of the motel in Halifax. Silas, however, was getting tired of the city. He needed a change of scenery. Silas half expected to find Mason at the borders again, but the sandy ‘defender’ was nowhere in sight. Ignoring the common courtesy of waiting along the borders, Silas wandered past the piked skulls and into the territory. If someone came along to treat him with hostility, he could always just speak in Russian and milk some sympathy, right? |

O HI U.
Hybrid stalked through the Inferni lands, a sour smile plastered on his rotten maw. He did not bother concealing his movements -- after all, these were the clan lands he inhabited. He had no reason to skulk around like some wolf. In the last few months, Hybrid had taken to patrolling the borders more often, deciding it was time to take it upon himself to rid the lands of the foolish wolves. Even with the rather recent addition of a new wolf's skull, the gross displays of brutality hardly seemed to faze the wolves. Even with the wolf's foreleg attached to a nearby pike, nothing seemed to keep the vermin at bay. And Hybrid would have none of it.
BITCH SLAP. :]
The boy began to speak, rattling off who knew what in some foreign language. It sounded incredibly familiar -- not because Hybrid had spoken it at one point, but because he could have sworn he had heard it before. The boy spoke for some time, and instead of even attempting to try and figure out what he was saying, Hybrid pondered the question of the hybrid's origins. They were rough and rugged, and Hybrid knew them. He knew them, he knew them. And then realization struck: Syemv. The "pack" which had stolen some of their land and tried to make peace with them. The Syemv/ Aremys war had been a great time, when they had finally been able to rid themselves of their bothersome neighbours. Inferni did not do well with a wolf pack so close by. Hybrid stepped forward, examining the boy, trying to figure out if he knew him. Had Hybrid killed a brother of his? A sister? He had disposed of a Syemv wolf in the war; he knew that. This boy had to be one of them.
Hybrid stared at the taller hybrid, his maw contorted in a gruesome snarl. His breathing was laboured as he watched the intruder, adrenaline racing through his veins. His paw twitched; his body was ready to move and rip this intruder apart. But Hybrid understood there was a time for formalities and manners, such as now. With his warning made, Hybrid would have to resort to diplomacy to continue this discussion. If the hybrid refused to listen to reason, he would attack.
"Yes, you are," he replied quickly, making sure he stressed the first word. He did not want it to get lost in translation to the stupid foreigner. "And if you don't get beyond the borders, that's what you will remain. We don't fucking dick around here. This are our borders, you don't just go wandering around them as you see fucking fit!" Hybrid stated, slowly becoming more and more enraged. Who did these filthy wolves and half-breeds think they were, wandering in and out of Inferni's borders like it was some loose whore? Inferni was anything but. And Hybrid was fucking tired of seeing wolves wander in and then have the audacity to be surprised when they were told to leave.
Hybrid regarded the boy suspiciously, refusing to believe the admission. If the hybrid had wanted to join, he should have specified earlier. Of course, if he had truly wanted to join, he would not have wandered past the clearly-marked borders, and would have howled for someone to find him. Hybrid did not know how this foreigner could even try for a second to pretend he was going to join.
"Yeah?" Hybrid replied, tossing his head arrogantly. He didn't care how much of a jerk this made him appear to be (it was probably true, anyways). He not only protected Inferni's borders, but also its integrity. He could not have every random loser thinking they could join just for the fun of it. Inferni was not some little shitty wolf pack you could just join, leave, and rejoin whenever you felt like it. Most of Inferni looked upon abandoners disfavourably. He always seethed when Vitium's name was repeated to him, but for some reason, was being forced to withstand his daughter in the Hydra rank.
Hybrid frowned when the male spoke once more, trying desperately not to lunge at him again. Hybrid did not believe this creature at all. There was nothing sincere in his plea. And, of course, Hybrid had a terrible bias against him. Of course, his only true prejudice stemmed from his hatred of wolves, but even that could be derived from his
Even though a bit of relief flooded Silas’ veins when he apparently had remembered correctly, it didn’t seem as if this guy was going to let up at all. Mentioning the names of Inferni’s leaders didn’t seem to matter at all, and the frown set upon Silas’ features only deepened. He didn’t want to deal with this guy anymore. He had only really been looking for… well, what? Adventure? Some fun? This certainly was not what he had expected. "I tell you already," Silas sneered at Hybrid, feeling the creep of anger as the sting of his wounds returned. "Eef you do not call zhem, I do eet mineself," Silas threatened, then taking a step to the side as if to leave Hybrid behind and move on. He turned his shoulder on him, facing away and looking around for a moment. He figured it wasn’t a smart move to turn his back on Hybrid, as he was likely to strike out again, but the Russian boy couldn’t help himself from taking an opportunity to make this guy even more irate. He had a feeling he was succeeding. .silas-family p {margin:0px 0px 10px 0px; padding:0px 10px 0px 10px; text-indent:25px; } .silas-family b {color:#1B2A5B;} .silas-family-ooc {font-style:italic; font-family:verdana, sans-serif; font-size:11px; letter-spacing:1px; } .silas-family {font-family:georgia, serif; font-size:12px; color:#000000; word-spacing:1px; line-height:13px; width:400px; background-color:#BAD6DA; border:1px solid #000000; background-image:url(http://sleepyglow.net/souls/gifts/silastable.jpg); background-position:top center; background-repeat:no-repeat; background-position:fixed; padding-top:175px; text-align:justify; }</style>
Hybrid snarled in reply, visibly peeved. He did not want this fool around for any longer. Even if this punk wanted to join Inferni and wasn't just dicking around, Hybrid would not want him among their ranks anyways. Of course, Hybrid did not like a few members of Inferni, and was not too fond of a few previous members, but that did not matter. He did not need any more stupid members wandering around. He was sick and tired of having to deal with all of their nonsense. Hybrid still had not figured out what the coyote with the purple face had done to him, but when he figured it out -- and found the canine -- he would certainly exact his revenge.
I think it’d be funny if Hybrid attacked Silas again and then whoever shows up is like wtf? If that works. :] The icy blue eyes of the Russian found Hybrid again as he began to advance. Clearly he wasn’t buying anything that Silas had to say. Now he was back again and seeking to do what he had wanted before – to get Silas out of Inferni. "Vatch me," Silas sneered back, taking a few steps away from the advancing Hydra and turning his muzzle to let out a call for whichever leader was closest. Silas wasn’t sure what he’d do once a leader actually arrived, but he wasn’t thinking much of that yet. Instead, the boy shot his gaze back on Hybrid as a mischievous grin began to broaden on his features. .silas-family p {margin:0px 0px 10px 0px; padding:0px 10px 0px 10px; text-indent:25px; } .silas-family b {color:#1B2A5B;} .silas-family-ooc {font-style:italic; font-family:verdana, sans-serif; font-size:11px; letter-spacing:1px; } .silas-family {font-family:georgia, serif; font-size:12px; color:#000000; word-spacing:1px; line-height:13px; width:400px; background-color:#BAD6DA; border:1px solid #000000; background-image:url(http://sleepyglow.net/souls/gifts/silastable.jpg); background-position:top center; background-repeat:no-repeat; background-position:fixed; padding-top:175px; text-align:justify; }</style>
The boy had no idea what he was doing. He was acting arbitrarily and was now howling for the leader just to annoy Hybrid. At first, he had wanted to join Inferni to save himself, and now he wanted to join just to piss Hybrid off? That was just wrong. Hybrid did not want to see their ranks contaminated by a coward. Hybrid was disgusted.
The Russian boy should have anticipated Hybrid’s next move. After the call had left Silas’ muzzle, it seemed mere moments before the Hydra was throwing himself at the intruder. Though Silas tried to throw up his arms in defense, Hybrid collided with Silas’ frame and sent him stumbling to the ground. Disturbed snow crunched beneath his weight as Silas tried to keep his balance but failed. Sprawled on his back, there wasn’t much he could do to protect himself from the advancing Hybrid. Unsure and not wasting any of his breath on words, he threw his fists at the Hydra hoping he might land a blow and disorient him. Silas had never been much of a fighter and even in Optime it seemed as if Hybrid had the advantage over him. .silas-family p {margin:0px 0px 10px 0px; padding:0px 10px 0px 10px; text-indent:25px; } .silas-family b {color:#1B2A5B;} .silas-family-ooc {font-style:italic; font-family:verdana, sans-serif; font-size:11px; letter-spacing:1px; } .silas-family {font-family:georgia, serif; font-size:12px; color:#000000; word-spacing:1px; line-height:13px; width:400px; background-color:#BAD6DA; border:1px solid #000000; background-image:url(http://sleepyglow.net/souls/gifts/silastable.jpg); background-position:top center; background-repeat:no-repeat; background-position:fixed; padding-top:175px; text-align:justify; }</style>
