There was nothing more. There was no more fear, no more threats and thus for the wolf there was no order. And Minos could not live when he knew not whom to bow to. The youth that had called to them had set an even greater fear in Minos then their fallen alpha, the fear of the unknown. Haku, as that had been his name, the name of their once king, had told him simply. Follow and I will lead you. Obey, and I will command you. The pale creature did not register what it was to be with the freedom that the loose infrastructure allowed. The wolf would have rather be beneath the black and white molted male that had taught him to change from the weakness he once was into the halfling form that he now always resided in. But there was no trailing the orange eyes male. No, Minos would need to retreat back to the things that gave him comfort. The outside would be difficult but the male had lived beyond the boundaries of a pack and once again he would fight the elements. Yellow eyes did not look back, instincts skewed and distorted, the effects of the Soul male properly seen in his desire to seek out the same treatment that Minos had been served under him.

In the shadow of night, Minos departed without a second glance.
