Her hands shook as she walked into the yard looking at the tall dapple grey stallion. Pontiac gulped as she took the ropes that she found in the barn, slowly walking to the beast. ”Shhhh…It’s okay. I promise I won’t hurt you. “ the female whispered as she moved forward slowly hand opened rope around her shoulder. The grey horse flared it’s nostrils, lowering it head moving towards the optime forum the female took, she gasped as she placed her hand out fear for the worst as she stood there, once the horses nose touched the female’s hand she slipped the rope around its neck, softly rubbing the horses face down, Pontiac smiled as she ran her hands along the horsed mane, bring her hands to the horse back she then gently pushed weight down upon the beast, to test the reaction. With nothing less with a sigh given the lady put her top part of her body on. Pontiac was very pleased with no reaction showing that the stallion was not happy with the soon to be rider. Again the female put more onto the horse body as she waited repeating the task of putting on weight and more of the body and waiting to see what the grey horse would do.

She took the rope that she had made a make shift halter out of gripping it in her hands as gave pressure with her legs hoping this beast had been trained, and to what a wonderful surprise the gray horse responded and took off very slowly and smoothly building it up to a full walk, Pontiac reached over the horse mane and patted it. The gait of the beat was smooth and she felt like this horse was trying to make sure that she was just as happy with him as she was with him.

The rock sailed through the air in a gentle arc, landing squarely in swift hands as Tangi strode along the path worn down by so many pairs of paws. She tossed it up again, into the cloudy sky, only to be blinded by the sun as it peeked from it's hiding place and forced her to close her eyes and let the stone drop. Irrationally angered, she snarled up at the sun and snapped her teeth. The moment passed and she averted her eyes back to the path through the trees, looking around to see if anyone was near. Thankfully she was still alone. The stone lay forgotten behind her, and she continued on her way.

The red wolfess rounded a bend in the path that revealed an open area with beautiful pastures, her destination clear as day nearby; the horse fields. A grin revealed itself upon her face as she threw fear to the wind and ran up to the fence eagerly. There were at least ten horses grazing and just being generally lazy throughout the pasture. She had been planning on coming to this spot for a while now, but had never worked up the courage. As a pup she had once tamed a wild mustang while her sister had watched in awe, and ever since she'd had a soft spot for horses unlike anything else.

Bouncing on the balls of her feet, Tangi reached the fence and put one hand on a post. She clambered ungracefully over the side, scraping a leg on the rough wood. She had heard word that there were a few spare horses inside, used by those who didn't want the sole responsibility of the creature, and that if she wanted she could claim one as her own. The thought was too enticing to continue to ignore, and so she had come to the field that day. Just as she paused by the rough fence, suddenly irrationally afraid to take a closer look at the horses, a grey horse walked from out of nowhere along the fence, with it's female rider patting it softly on the mane. Frightened by the sudden appearance only a foot or two from her front, Tangi yelped and pulled her foot back midstride. Unable to keep her balance she slid on the trodden earth and fell onto her back.

She stared up at the sky with the cursed sun mocking her with it's beams aimed straight at her eyes once more, dazed. The world seemed to spin and she lost all clue of where in space she was. Her elbow was bruised and her tail was curled at an uncomfterable angle, but her main concern why on earth she had let something so stupid happen to herself.

She shifted her weight around upon the grey beast back as she give a squeeze with her legs against the horse side. He picked up his hoof thumping it back down upon the ground as she made a clicking sound with her mouth, the dapple grey stallion started to move in a slow walk, lifting his feet up high slamming them down onto the ground. Pontiac gripped reins a bit harder as she pulled back on them. It was with no luck the horse reared up onto his back legs. He must have clearly spooked by something as Pontiac fell off the horse and on to the ground, she hit hard with a thud as she felt something in her shoulder pop, she grimed as she stood up, quickly gripping the free falling reins, then gripped her shoulder as she sighed, she knew it was going to smoothly. She grumbled as she looked to the red wolf, ”He didn’t hurt you did he?” She held onto her shoulder as looked into the horses eyes, his nostrils flared.

Ignoring the spinning scenery, Tangi sat up and winced as she bent her injured elbow funny, clutching it instinctively. A wolf swam into focus before the rest of the world popped into view with startling clarity, and it wasn't until then that she realised that the wolf was on the ground and getting up with support from the horse. She tracked the female with narrowed eyes, her earlier joy dashed and trampled on by that damn rider. She didn't blame the horse; he just went where he was told. But didn't the wolf notice a red wolf, who wasn't exactly small, in her path?

Tangi got to her feet, using a fence post behind her as support, and flexed her tail back into shape. It throbbed, but she'd felt worse. It would heal, and her elbow was just a bruise, and yet the rider seemed to have badly injured her shoulder. Frowning, she answered the stranger's question huffily. "I'm fine. Are you okay?" She was pissed, but still was worried about the female's health. Ignoring a deeper part of her that screamed obscenities and clawed at her mind to pummel the stranger into the ground, she rubbed her bruised on last time before taking a tentative step towards the woman, her face as full of concern as she could muster.

Changing her mind at the last moment, rather than pushing her luck as her anger screamed louder, she stopped and turned instead to face the horse who glared at her with ears laid flat. She walked right up to him, always within his sight, and put a loose hand by his nose. He sniffed deeply, and, satisfied by her intentions, snorted and pushed his velvet nose into her palm. He realised it had all been a big misunderstanding, and Tangi was glad he thought so as she rubbed his nose and scratched down his snout. She always kept one eye on the female, awaiting a response.

Pontiac could see the anger in the other female’s eyes. She couldn’t blame her, as a rider she should have made sure that the area in which she was trying to get the horse to connect was her was clear. One of her many foolish mistake, seemed like she was getting better day after day at making them. She sighed as she let the horse have some slack in the reigns, watching him push his pink nose into her hand. She sighed with a shift in her stances, her shoulder felt like it was on fire, the pain burned into her spin. It was something she would breathe though; she was sure with how jumpy the stallion seemed it would happen again. Pontiac would not admit that she was in pain either, she would push the pain away, or force it to go away and would be back to her pack work in only a matter of hours. She gave a nod as she reached up with her good arm holding the hurt shoulder against her, shifting the horse’s halter’s and taking the bit out of his mouth.

”Let me give you something for your pains, please. I feel horrid. It seems he is fine, I worry about your elbow and tail. It looks like you got your elbow good. I can give you some Five Fingers, it will help with the redness and pain, and I can put some aloe in mixture to help with the burn from the pain.”

Pontiac did not want to talk about her shoulder; she knew it hurt, she knew it was going to hurt. Did she break it? Maybe. Maybe not. The Tutela, shifted to where she was able to reach around the horse’s neck and give him a good pat before she allowed him to run free.
