Her fingers shook, lightly as if they held the same butterfly wings that she stomach did. Mati closed her eyes, pleading with her body to grow as strong as her feelings had. While her mind worried, her heart ached, their reasoning completely opposite. Nimble creative hands held the small leather string, her purple yes scanning it for imperfections. She had again and again, her mind knew and yet her heart looked once more for anything that might not be complete and imperfect. With a huffed sigh she drew her fingers around it, holding it hidden from sight.

The Major had no mirror, but drew the brush through her mane in the hopes of taming its wild waves and looking her very best. Again she looked at her palm with fingers outstretched, it shook less and her stomach felt better then before. Maybe she was ready… just maybe, she was.

Her mind told her of the small possibility of rejection. Her heart yearned for the possible acceptance. The center of her chest pained at the thought of living another night, spending another day separated from the chocolate female. It was too much for the sensitive organ of hers to be without the lover and the friend. And yet, there was insecurity that she could not shake toying with her mind. She was never more confident then at the side of the Marino female, so why did she falter now?

With her intensions secure, and her plan in place Mati walked from her room and closed the door as she left. It was tidy, organized by her jitters and a need to keep busy in the early hours of the day but she still closed it off to the rest of the world. Not allowing her thoughts to become too involved she made a beeline for the stairs. Floors separated them, not even just walls and door but stairs and a ceiling. Mati’s long legs took the stairs two at a time without hesitation, and then before she knew it she was at the door of Cambria’s door. The words were laid out, ready for her tongue to speak them but now that she stared at wooden panels that she had stared at time and time before they slipped her mind. A hand rose, and her knuckles touched the cold wood once, then twice. And then... she waited.

The world seemed nearly perfect to her nowadays. It seemed all the trauma that the falling of Old Red had caused was more or less healed. Her aunt still had some recovery time to wait out, but Cambria was certain that Ghita would be right as rain soon enough. Terrible as that even had been, it had served a good purpose in one respect. Having her uncle come to rescue her and risk himself to save her from the wreckage had allowed her to let go of the anger that she had still held against him. What he had done would most likely always cause some distance between them that hadn't been there before, but that distance had been shrunk substantially. Her little brother and sisters were growing rapidly and going out on their own, and Anu's boys were also doing well. The thing that made her life the best though was without a doubt the Church fey. Their affection for one another had only grown with the passing of weeks, and she had never been happier.

Enzo's eyes peered around the room as he watched from his perch atop his companion's head. Cambria had her nose deep in her book of plants and herbs. No matter how many times she read it, she always managed to find some detail or species that was beneficial that she had missed before. Her back was propped against the headboard of her bed while her thighs served as a stand for the large book. Sea green eyes poured tirelessly over the words and illustrations that littered the pages. She was so engrossed that she might have missed the soft knocking at her door altogether if Enzo hadn't reacted to it, taking flight and landing on top of his cage. "Coming!" she said, marking her place in the book before standing up and moving to the door.

When she opened her door and saw who stood outside her face bloomed into a bright smile and she immediately wrapped her arms around the other female's form, pressing her face against her chest. "Mati," she breathed, her tail wagging happily behind her.

<333!

She fidgeted. It had been months since she had been this nervous around Cambria, not since their first night together had she worried so much. But she couldn't help it, her nerves were almost uncontrollable as she wondered what she would say now that her plan had left her mind, never to return. This was stupid, she should wait until Cambi brought up the subject. She had always been the more forward, bringing Mati’s own feelings to light before she could even understand them. Her fingers played with the bracelet that she held, while she other hand raked through her mane once again. She was sure she looked horrible, strands of fur sticking out wildly.

The small moments that it took for Cambria to register that there was a knock on the door felt like years to the fey standing on the other side. Mati heard her speak, then felt the footfalls on the floor and then watched as the door opened. Her heart jumped, all the nervous anxiety felt as if it all peaked, buzzing at once and sent goose bumps down along her arms. Violet eyes looked at her face, the smile bringing one to her own maw, the embrace was immediately and without thought returned. Her nose fell to her lover’s crown, taking in the scent that washed away the chills and unknowing. It was like a warm blanket, security, and fulfillment. Everything she needed all at once.

Hi. She said with a breathless voice. She loved this, loved when they returned to once another after being apart. Each time she was reminded that Cambria needed and wanted her, and she was able to show the same. Would it be different if the female agreed to her proposal? She hoped that they would not loose this, but the loss of it would not be as painful as the separation was. Can I come in? She asked. Her tone was a little less warm, her insecurities seeping back through the embrace that she was reluctant to give up.

slow Erin r fail :[ 300+

No one could ever light her face up like Mati could. As had just been evidenced, the simple sight of her was enough to send her heart jumping and the brightness that bloomed inside of her couldn't be hidden from her face. Some part of her noticed that her lover seemed a little bit off, a little bit different than she usually was, but there would be time to ponder and question that soon enough. Right now, she felt the Church fey reciprocate her affection and the Marino girl wanted nothing more than to lose herself in the moment. It was amazing to her how good being around the other woman made her feel. Even though she had been faced with this fact many times now, that didn't banish the wonderfulness of it. When she was with Mati, she felt like she was everything good that she never though she could be. She felt like she really was worth something.

Cambria didn't ever want to leave these arms, the ones that made her feel like there was sunshine bottled up inside her. At the other's soft greeting she nuzzled her face against her, attempting to dig deeper into the intimate embrace. When Mati asked if she could come in, the girl pulled back enough to allow her face to rise to look up at the taller wolfess. A curious, but no less happy look crossed her delicate features. "Of course you can, silly. You know you don't have to ask." Mati was always welcome wherever she was, most especially in her room. A little reluctantly she broke their hug but entwined her thin fingers through Mati's strong ones, pulling her inside.

Once they were both fully in her room, her oceanic orbs looked back up to the violets that she found looking a little uncertain. Her head tilted to the side a little and her fingers squeezed the other girl's hand reassuringly. "Are you okay? You seem a little distracted." If anything were wrong Cambi was sure it was something outside of them and their relationship. She couldn't imagine that anything could have changed since they last saw each other.

<333 ... nervous Mati is nervous!

Of course she didn’t need to ask, just as Cambria didn’t need to have an invitation into her room. Mati would have laughed lightly if the other female had asked the same question, and likely while owning the same inquisitive look. There was no question in her mind to whether Cambi was allowed within her studio, and for some time now there hadn't been one. Everything was open to her, and everything that Mati had was Cambria’s too. No matter what it was. Mati wore a slightly embarrassed face as she nodded to the other female’s response. Her eyes not looking straight into the teal blue oceans that she so easily drowned in. Feeling Cambi break away made Mati lean in slightly, not wanting the moment to end and not wanting to move forward in her initial plan quite yet. But the hand that fit so neatly in her palm rested there, tugging at her.

She willingly entered the room, the scent of her love wrapping itself around her generously. Mati looked to her face, their eyes catching one another and the Church female knew that what she wanted was right, knew that her thoughts were only small worries and not the truth. Her want, the desire that she felt had always been reciprocated by the Marino woman. How could this not be like all the other times Mati has asked and Cambria had willingly given? Cambira’s question came to Mati with a slight startle, braking her out of the daze that she had been in. I’m fine. She spoke, though her heart’s beat increased now that the obvious had been brought into the conversation. It was right, just as if always had felt between them, Mati thought the words over again, felt the soft fur of Cambi’s hand in her own and felt flush with the instant and surprisingly sudden need to be closer. Mati moved to the bed, sitting and leading her to follow and do the same.

Purple eyes focused on her face, fighting to stay locked in place as she fought equally as hard to find the words that would make the moment perfect. She was fumbling already, possibly making Cambria feel awkward or uneasy. I wanted to ask you something. She said, her smile returning. Her other hand still held the thing that she had made her. The jitters were turning into something else, You know, I love you. She spoke the words; the first two coming quickly but the last few slow and with much thought. Her face felt warm, knowing that she was making this harder then it should be and mixing everything up.

*pets Mati* 300+

Embarrassment crossed her lover's face and Cambi couldn't help but wonder what was going on with the older fey. Mati hadn't acted like this since their feelings had first started and they had stumbled awkwardly together, both trying to find their way. Recently, everything had been fluid, and so this sudden change started questions to tick through the back of her mind. She did her best not to pay too much mind to her self conscious thoughts though. Surely nothing was wrong. If something were, it was more likely that the Nanny would be avoiding her instead of coming to her door. It still was so weird that she had asked if she could come in though. Whether it had anything to do with them or not, something was obviously weighing heavy on her mind and Cambria hoped that whatever it was wouldn't be kept from her for much longer. She didn't like not knowing what was going on in the Church woman's mind.

As they went fully into her room Mati looked around and when Cambria spoke again she seemed startled, as if she had been in some different place, far away from here. Despite her confession of being fine, it was clear to Cambi that she wasn't completely and she couldn't help it as her brows knit together with a soft concern. Teeth lightly nibbled the inside of her lip, a nervous habit inherited from her father. The more oddly Mati acted, the louder those questions sounded in her head and the more she began to wonder if something was wrong between the two of them. No, it couldn't be. Mati wouldn't be holding her hand if things were okay, right? The girl did her best to battle her insecurities, even as they gained strength.

She followed Mati to her bed, taking a seat on it right next to her. The violet eyed beauty looked deep into her face and she could feel her heart flutter with equal amounts of affection and trepidation. Finally she spoke again, saying there was a question that she wanted to ask. The returning smile did some to ease her worry. Cambi slowly nodded her head, urging Mati to continue. The utterance of her love made the younger female's own smile return, her cheeks flushing beneath cocoa fur. Her gaze bashfully glanced down to their clasped hands before looking back up into her lover's face. "And I love you." It always felt so good to say that, almost as good as it felt to hear it coming from Mati's lips.

lol XD

It was time to not be afraid, time to have faith in herself, have faith in Cambia. Of course she had faith in the Marino girl, at times she was the only one in the world Mati could rely on, but she had to gather what she owned in herself to get the single simple question out. If she said no then it would not be the end of everything, Mati didn’t think it had to be. It would be heart breaking but she would have broken it herself, Cambi had every right to want her space and to want to keep things they way they were. but it was even beginning to become hard for the bronze fey to not ask, it had been for weeks now. Each time she held the darker furred fey late at night wrapped up in blissful satisfaction she had wished to utter the words. Just as she had uttered the small phrase that spoke of her love, she wished to say these as breathlessly and mean them just as deeply.

She looked to her, and Mati tried again to fight the gaze that sought her own, knowing the moment that she let herself fall into them she would be lost make a fool of herself. Cambia’s words broke the resistance, the sweet words making the Church fey feel just as complete as when they spoke of their love in a kiss or a touch. Purple eyes flickered to the duel seas, loosing herself instantly in the bright teal shimmer. The question slipped through her thoughts, her wants pushing forward and making it impossible for her not to take the next step that with Cambia’s affection did not seem like a giant leap any longer.

Her voice was quiet, I was wondering, She paused then spoke with a hurry, its okay if you don’t want to, I’ll understand. Then as soon as she spoke those words she realized that she hadn’t even said what she had been wondering. I want you to move to my room. Well, She shook her head, breaking contact with her eyes and tried to get the question right, I was wondering if you would want to. Her heart beat crazily, her face flush from embarrassment and anticipation.

she's such a mess XD 300+

As they sat there, and whatever it was that was troubling Mati seemed to fill the space between them it seemed as if the older fey was avoiding looking straight at her. The worries and questions roared up in her head, planting little doubtful seeds in the girl. Had she done something wrong? Something to make Mati feel so uncomfortable? She couldn't for the life of her think of anything she could have done to cause this, but she was starting to think that it must have been something she had done. Or maybe it was just something she was that had suddenly become unsavory to the Church woman. Cambria still did her best to push those bad thoughts away, but the longer this strangeness continued the harder it became. Just when she thought she was losing her grip on her optimism though, Mati looked at her. Her sea green eyes transmitted the hope that they were okay, that nothing had changed or turned sour. Cambi didn't want that.

Mati's voice was soft, and the slender girl leaned in to make sure she caught all the words her lover spoke. She didn't know if she'd ever seen her this nervous, not even at the very beginning when she had been unsure of their relationship. Confusion wrote itself more clearly across her face as Mati continued to stumble over her words and didn't make the question she wanted to ask known. Then finally the words awkwardly came out and for a moment, Cambria sat there silently, stunned as her brain tried to work it all out and what it meant. As the fragmented puzzle pieces fell into place though, her face lit up, tears forming in her eyes as she gripped Mati's hand tightly. "Mati...really?" She had feared something was wrong, and so this wonderful request had been completely unexpected. The idea of being able to spend every night with the other woman was so wonderful it filled her to the brim.

^^

What a mess she had made of things. The beat of her heart slowed, the inevitable sinking into it and weighting it down so far and filling it so much that there was no room for it to contract and thump. Her stomach hurt, and eyes unable to lift themselves to Cambi see her reaction. Then she felt the tightness around her hand and was reminded that Cambria still touched her, still held it. Her heart started again, beating feverously at the contact and she relished the feeling one more time. It didn’t have to change, and yet Mati had changed it all just by speaking those jumbled words. Could she take them back? No, they were out floating listlessly in the air and there was nothing she could do to grasp them and place them back into her throat. A single second later the other female spoke, hearing her name made Mati’s ears turned backwards and flatten. The question was sort of one that she had anticipated.

But it wasn’t said the way she had imagined it, and lacked the doubt and the ridiculousness that she feared Cambria would see in the situation. But she had never truly doubted her, not the sweet woman that had stolen her heart with gentle fingers and held it so kindly and with so much care. No, there was wonderment in it and the taste of tears upon the tone made the Church female look up to check to see if her oceans wept. I never want to be without you. She spoke, finally looking at Cambria and not fearing the journey the green-blue gaze took her on. Only when her voice ceased did she realize how softly she had said them. She hadn’t said yes, but they lack all the unknowing and the insecurities and held the pure want and the more pressing need that she felt.

Forever, she wanted it to last until she no longer breathed and then she hoped that the heaven she had read about it books was real so she could choose an eternity of reliving every moment that they spent together. Her other hand opened, the thing that had lived inside it unfolding and sitting in her palm. Now she fought to break her gaze away, looking down to tie the leather cord around Cambria's small wrist. It wasn’t much, handmade and it wouldn’t last as long as Mati hoped their love would, but she had made it for her. The shells waved, stung together delicately. When she was done Mati looked back at her, more words on the tip of her tongue yet lost to the hopes that Cambia would truly say yes.

they're so cute :3 300+

Cambria was a little too wrapped up in her own head trying to figure things out to notice the severe worry and doubt that had overcome Mati as the query had been asked. But as her revelation was made and she spoke she saw all the signs of her lover's anxiety. Her ears fell back when she spoke and she did not look at her. She could almost feel the older fey's nerves transmitted through their held hands and all she wanted to do was to make them go away. Cambi didn't know why she was so nervous to ask such a thing, surely she most know that she could never refuse her? She loved her, and would follow Mati to the ends of the Earth. She had never rejected Mati or anything she wanted, and she couldn't imagine that she ever could.

When finally those violets returned to her face and she spoke again, Cambria's smile only grew and the tears threatened to spill over onto her soft cheeks. They were tears born of nothing but pure joy in acceptance, and she did not try to fight them. The Marino girl pressed her face into the crook of Mati's neck, nuzzling lovingly in that space. "I don't want to be without you either. I'm so happy, that you want me in your life like that..." It was something Cambria had wanted, but she had been happy with how things were and didn't want to press Mati for more. She had done her fair share of pressing things at the beginning of it all, and so from then on she hadn't wanted to move at any pace that made her other half uncomfortable. Her main concern had been Mati's happiness, and so she had let her take the lead.

Her eyes were hidden against her lover's neck, but as she felt something encircle her wrist she pulled her face away to see what it was. Small shells dotted around her wrist, held together by leather. Cambi lifted her arm to better inspect the bracelet and then she looked back to Mati. "You made this? For me?" The tears couldn't be contained any longer, and rolled freely down her face. "Oh Mati!" she exclaimed before pressing her lips against the other female's. Her hand held her cheek softly, overwhelmed with the depth of their love.

SO CUTE!

Mati had thought that what they had before was enough. In the beginning the feelings had even been too much, overwhelming her and making it hard for her to see straight. She couldn’t deny that at times it was still overwhelming, and there were moments where she didn’t always understand her own feelings or ones like this where she didn’t know how to express them. But it wasn’t enough, and she now asked Cambia for more of the thing that she hadn’t been sure she wanted all those months ago. She felt selfish at first, wanting Cambi all to herself. But it wasn’t a possessiveness, not like when she was a pup and didn’t wish to share her favorite thing. Indeed Mati wished for Cambi to be hers, but it was a mutual commitment that she felt and wanted to have between them. Cambia could have the world, everything and anything she wished, Mati only hoped to be the one that gave it to her, to be the one that stood beside her.

The touch on her neck was sudden, unexpected with all the internal battling that flurried within her. Mati moved softly against her, lowering her face so that her cheek touched the soft mane of the other woman. Her words washed it all away, like a cleansing rain she felt the worries melt away under the meaning statements. They brought a smile to her face, the air around her seemed to lighten as she spoke. I don’t think I could have gone another day without asking you. it had been building up for days and days, once the idea had gotten into her head it was like she couldn’t think of anything else. But now all the anxiety had left, and excitement was growing in the empty space.

At the sight of her expression Mati wondered how she could have ever doubted her acceptance. She nodded, seeing the tears and immediately feeling her own well up in her eyes. In a moment the world dropped away, Cambria’s soft lips touching her own, gentle hands holding the now wet cheek of her face. Mati leaned into the kiss, her arm instinctively wrapping itself around her slender frame. She had worried for nothing, just like all the times before. She knew she had to let go of the fear and let how she felt pour out of her, it just wasn’t easy but finally as she joined her lover in tears and kissed her deeply she let them go, hoping never to see them again.

She probably would have been ready to make this kind of commitment far earlier than it was coming. Usually she was a cautious and careful creature, but not when it came to Mati and what was shared between them. When it came to the Church wolfess, she threw all caution and reservations to the wind and eagerly leaped before looking. It was a combination of the strength of her feelings for the other fey and her trust in Mati. Even though things had started off rocky and she hadn't been sure that the edler female could ever return the feelings the Marino held for her, the trust had quickly been reestablished and had held true from then on. Cambi wanted to be Mati's, wanted to share everything she had with her. Wanted to wake up next to her every morning and go to bed with her each night. She wanted it all, and she only wanted it with her.

As she nuzzled against her, she felt Mati relax and the stress leave her body. You never have to worry about me rejecting you, the contact said. She could have said it with words, but she felt this way would be more powerful and hold it in her lover's mind more concretely. The only kind of request she could speak out against was something that went against her morals or the other people she loved, but she knew that no such question would ever come from those beautiful lips. "I'm glad you didn't." The Marino couldn't wait to take this next step in their relationship. No part of her was afraid that it could complicate things or cause any issue. The only thing that would be wrong would be not to do this, to deny each other such proximity.

Just before their lips met she saw her own joy mirrored in the face of the woman she loved and she thought her heart might burst from the happiness. She willingly let Mati's arm wrap around her and her own hands moved to drape about her neck, fingers entwining in her hair. It had been foolish, to ever worry that something was wrong. Everything was as far from wrong as it could possibly be, she thought as she lost herself in their impassioned kiss. Cambria knew how lucky they both were, to find something so great, so larger than either of them on their own.

not sure about this post >< forgive

She knew she was still learning how to trust, still leaning how to let go. Each time she did she thought it was over, thought that she would never have to ride the emotional coaster that she took herself on at each turn of their relationship. But it was over, right? She needn’t fear every again. Mati didn’t know why she did, it was like someone took control or placed a voice in her head that said she would loose all the happiness that she had, loose it because she was careless. Maybe it was the pied male, his scars still etched into her arms, or maybe it was the back of the white wolfess that she would never see again and had bitterly let go so that she could go find happiness with another family.

Cambria was ready, she was always ready and waiting for Mati to come along and match her feelings and always at Mati’s schedule. What made her so perfect? Mati couldn’t begin to delve into such a mystery, reaping the benefits of the Marino’s perfection as they embraced.

The words passed through her thoughts slowly; I love you, I love you… her voice taken by the touch of her lips but she hoped they traveled through the contact and reached the other female with each passing seconds. Finally she parted from Cambria, her neck moved back slightly and her gaze looked to the green and blue tinted eyes and wanted for every minute of her life to hold the happiness she found just looking at her face.

Her heart beat wildly, her breath quickened and her chest rose and fell with a greater haste then when she fidgeted on the other side of the door that would never again keep them apart. Mati looked to see the stream of damp fur that started at the corner of her eye and ran along her cheek. Tears of joy, Mati thought with the knowledge that her own face had the same stained feature. Her finger ran down the trail, and for a prolonged moment she sat simply watching her and allowing her breath to settle.

I’ll never say no to you. She spoke the words so loud that only they could hear, the world beyond them lost. Some might think it was a foolish thing to say, of course she would need to utter a no here and perhaps one there. But to the Church fey it was the only way she knew how to lay out every bit of trust, to surrender forever. It was a word she had screamed in the face of another, one that had almost taken everything from her and something she had used to set the course of denial and hate for those who left her. No, she would never forget and no she would never forgive.

But she trusted Cambria, more then anyone past or present. Knew that her questions and requests would never mean to hurt her. Knew that even if she did leave she would never say the word and never not forgive and never not forget the pain. Finally, Mati got off the rollercoaster. Finally and for real, it was over.

s'ok! sorry mine isn't as long D: 300+

Cambria didn't know the complete extent of all the hardships and traumatic incidences that Mati had gone through. She didn't need to know the reason behind her hesitance though. All she needed to do was to show Mati that she would never be judged by her, that whenever they were together she was safe and she didn't have to worry. The girl couldn't say why it was so easy to open herself up completely to the other femme. Maybe it was because she had known her her whole life. Or maybe it was just her heart had known from the start that Mati was the one for her. The counterpoint to her soul. Whatever it was though, Cambria knew that she would always wait for her. Would always be ready to take things further once Mati was ready to do so. She would let her set the pace and she would follow along, just content and happy to be a part of her life. Happy for the chance to share so much of her life with her.

As they kissed, she wished this moment would never end. That they could stay like this forever. So happy and so in love. Not that she thought that their affections would fade, or their happiness, but it was at a peak moment now and she never wanted to let go of that. The girl could feel her pulse begin to race when Mati pulled back, breaking their kiss. At first her face followed her lover's, unwilling to lose that contact. But her eyes opened, and looked deeply into those purple gems that stared back at her. Cambi already had that face memorized, but her eyes traced over every hair, every shade, every line, cherishing each and every one of them. As her lover touched the wet line of her tears, her eyes closed again, leaning into that caressing hand.

Soft words filtered into her ears and slowly her oceanic pools opened again, her smile as soft as her lover's voice. "Neither will I," she said, meaning it just as much as the other female had. "I love you." She had loved no one as she loved Mati, not before and she knew she never would again. For if she and the Church fey ever parted, Cambria was certain her world would stop turning.

no worries!

There was a calm that entered her as she look at the other’s face. The beat of her heart still tapped against it’s cage, she was still aware of her breathing and the electric jolt that Cambria’s touch gave. But all of it brought Mati peace rather then anxiety or insecurity. Her light earth toned hand held her cheek, watching lovingly as the other female fell into it, her eyes fluttering closed and then opening as she responded. She didn’t need to say, Mati knew her response and found no questions or wondering. It was a glorious feeling, and the three words broke the stoic relaxation Mati felt, having been savoring the moments after such a heightened nervousness. But something else came back to her. Something familiar and yet exciting, just as it felt each time it returned to her.

Three little words were said, ones that were so easily replies with her own, I love you too Her smile broadened, her voice lighter and higher then before. She could have laughed, bubbling with the idea that they would soon be living in the same room, always waking together and forever falling asleep in each other’s arms. But she slowly kissed the woman instead, softly touching her lips at first, then more deeply as the seconds rolled past. Her breath was taken, that familiar feeling filling her with warmth and making her itch for more of Cambria’s touch.

Her hand braced the other girl’s back, pressing into the soft fur and sinking down to the skin. Their chests met, and Mati broke their kiss as she took a needed breath. But she didn’t lean away, noses still touching lightly, arm still holding her tight and unwilling to release her. Pink tongue snuck out from behind her teeth, licking at the other’s dark nose. A playful silent query as to what Cambi wanted next. Mati had already told her, she wouldn’t say no.

She was so thankful the tension had left Mati, glad that once again she had shown that whatever worries plagued her had been for naught. Nothing would ever make her want to distance herself, or stop the progress that they made together. And they had made progress. Quickly, in leaps and bounds. After the initial awkwardness and concerns were laid to rest their relationship had bloomed like a rare flower given precisely the right amount of care and nurturing. And just as they had now jumped another hurdle, made another step forward, the girl was sure that nothing would ever be so difficult for them as to be insurmountable. The hardest thing was opening yourself up, laying yourself out for another person, and they had already done that. There wasn't anything she kept from Mati, and she was fairly confident that it was the same case in her partner.

The L word never failed to fill her with bright white light, her own smile growing exponentially as the words were repeated back to her. She had found love. Real, true, abiding, unconditional love. Cambi wasn't sure she would ever find such a thing. She had seen it all her life, in the perfect picture of her parents. So in love, and so good for each other. The girl had always seen it, and always yearned to understand it and find it for herself. Finally, she had. She knew what it was her parents felt for one another, for she felt the exact same thing for Mati. Their lips met again, and she eagerly accepted the kiss, pressing into it, falling into it.

Cambria felt the hand press harder against her back, pushing their torsos together and she felt her heart skip a beat. Her pulse picked up where it had left off as their last kiss had been broken, the heat slowly beginning to spread through her form. Exciting and familiar all at once. Their lips unlocked and she too took the air that her lungs were crying for, but this time their faces stayed in the same proximity. The soft lick against her nose sent a shiver down her spine, her tail twitching. In response, her nose moved to Mati's neck, brushing away the fur to reach the skin with her lips. She kissed her tenderly, her tongue darting out to taste the sensitive flesh.

Big Grin

She wanted to let it go, and once again Cambira had made it possible for her to do so. No one else gave her that confidence, no one gave her that security. She was merely a female, small in stature and more delicate then Mati’s taller broader form. But in her presence Mati had never felt more safe, never felt more significant and though she did not know how Cambria created this aura that now shrouded the two from the world Mati no longer placed a question upon it. It was her reality now, however fantastical it felt. It still made her wonder, still made her look to her in awe, her heart pattered wildly, her breath taken but she succumbed to the knowledge that this would be her life and it was everything she could ever wish to have.

Cambira’s rising and falling chest was pressed against hers, their bodies were not as close as they could be but Mati savored the slowly growing embrace, their two forms melting together with each action that the other made. Purple orbs closed tightly, Cambria’s lips touching the skin beneath the fur of her neck and causing her body to tense for the briefest moment and then relax. Her hand moved upwards, running along her spine, the bones vaguely felt against the palm of her hand. Claws raked over the fur, her body reacting to the gentle heat of her tongue the flushed feeling starting in her center and moving rapidly to every other part of her body.

Fingers traveled beneath the straight silk mane to hold the back of her neck, her own lips parted as her breathing began to increase each inhale and exhale shortening. The want never seemed to lay dormant; it was always present when they were together. But now it felt as if it come over her so suddenly, since their first night together the rush of her emotions always had this trailing close behind them. Connecting so sweetly, their feelings placed into words and spoken aloud almost always moved to placing them into actions. It was a series of events that Mati couldn’t have stopped if she ever though she wanted to.

Once hand held her neck wishing for the sensation to never end and the other moved down to steady the small of her back, pushing slightly on the slight indent. Her voice was breathless, Tell me She paused, the caress of her tongue smudging out the words in her mind for just a moment, what you want. Cambria asked so little of her, while Mati was the one that needed time and reassurance and support again and again. She wanted to give her the same in return and at this moment there was only one way she knew how, and she wanted to hear it in Cambria's voice.

That time that they had talked after Cambria had first admitted her feelings, she had told Mati to just let go. She had taken her advice then, and they had shared their first kiss. There were times, like the one they had just gone through, where it was clear that her better half still had a problem just letting things happen and trusting that it would all work out somehow. But each time she came to such a hurdle, the Marino felt it was easier for her to let go and let things happen. Each time there was a little less hesitation, and she would be able to jump in more quickly than the time before. Hopefully soon, Mati wouldn't feel the need to hesitate at all. But even if she never reached that point, Cambi would still love her and still desire to be with no one else. She accepted the Church fey for exactly who she was and she knew that Mati accepted her in the exact same way.

As her tongue and lips tasted her lover's skin, she could feel the hazy intoxication of arousal descend over them like a thick cloak. She didn't think either one of them had expected things to suddenly turn in this direction, but she knew that neither of them had any desire to stop. It was understandable though, for their encounter to take this turn. They had just taken a huge step to furthering the bond that was held between them, and their emotions had rose up and poured out from them, leading their hearts to race and their bodies to flush with heat. The claws raking against her back made her skin prickle, leaving tingling lines across her body.

The attraction that pulled them together like this was always so close to the surface that it only took one little thing to scratch the surface and make it come rushing forward. A look, a touch, a breath. Any and all could make her crave that connection that they shared only with one another. Denying it was impossible, and Cambi had no reason to want to even try to. She felt Mati's hands on the back of her neck and the small of her back, her tail swished back and forth, eager for more. Her lover's breathless voice made her soul shiver, and her lips left her neck to look into her face once more. "You," she said heavily, their lips lightly touching. "I just want you." Another kiss, more fuel to the quickly growing fire.

sorry for the wait!! <333

The world didn’t always let things happen the way they should. Mati had seen others that deserved happiness go without, she had seen them heart broken and at their breaking point. Though Mati had felt her own suffering she had not been left by someone she loved so completely as she did Cambria, the experiences of others were enough to remind her that fate could be cruel. She didn’t want to fear the woman in front of her, she didn’t want to question anything that the chocolate female felt towards her, but it was so hard to trust. She didn’t want her heart to be so fragile, and she didn’t want to show her lover that she might not want to let her have her completely and always. She did, and with each touch and each word Mati allowed more and more of her control to fade. This would be the time where it would not return, and she would be Cambi's without a single doubt. What was her heart worth if it was not held by Cambira? She would be nothing and her heart the same.

But it was trust in herself, faith that Mati wouldn’t ruin what they had made that she needed. It felt like in an instant their fires had been lit and their love ignited, and the bronze woman was the only one that could possibly smother it with her insecurities.

Once it had been started there was no choice but to continue. Mati’s nerves had dissipated, her faithlessness filled with hope, and her need for Cambria’s love turned to from commitment and security to heated and passionate. Her hand was steady on the female’s back, not wanting to feel the cold air of their separation. She blinked to see teal green orbs looking up her face. Her body threatened to shiver, to shake ever so slightly at the glazed sight of them. Short words, leaden with the lust that was matched in the flutter of her eye lids as the closed with each kiss that Cambria’s lips planted on her own.

To be wanted had forever changed Mati, but that feeling had differed since their first time. Her lips moved softly against the other’s, but in what felt like an instant she moved from tenderness and kissed her deeper, tongue searching to taste her and her hands wishing to feel every inch of her. Mati leaned forward, still holding the smaller woman in the hopes of resting her gently against the bed that Cambria would no longer sleep in. It was only right to give it a heartfelt good bye.

Cambria had lead a relatively sheltered life, at least when it came to the matters of heartbreak. Unlike Mati's parents, her own were still together. Still happy and very much in love. She was young and none of her siblings had experienced their first love, yet alone their first heartbreak. Logically she knew that things didn't always work out and weren't always so easy. Their own relationship had had a rocky start, and if it hadn't been for her father's encouraging words she might have well tried to avoid the Church fey for a long time. Still, she had not seen first hand someone lose something so precious, and so she had no trouble letting herself free fall into this. Her heart was doing all the thinking and her brain did not interfere. She loved Mati, and wanted to be with her. There were no more fears, no more worries. Mati would never hurt her, the Marino knew this just as she knew the sky was blue. There was nothing to be afraid of.

It was sometimes hard to contain everything she felt for the mottled wolfess. Hard to take things slow when she wanted it all. But the little experience that she had had shown her that getting there was at least half the fun. She loved the look in Mati's eyes as they looked at each other once again before her voice uttered those few, monosyllabic words. Love the feeling of their lips touching, of Mati's hands holding her smaller frame. Self control wasn't an easy thing to have in these moments, but Cambria did her best, not wanting to rush things. The girl wanted things to take their own course. As always, she would wait for Mati.

Their kisses were slow and tender, until her lover took the next text and her body received a volt of electricity. Cambria accepted the exploring tongue, her mouth opening and welcoming it. The force of the increased passion was met with her own surge, their tongues soon dancing a tango together. She didn't even realize her position had been shifted until she was on her back, Mati's arms still wrapped around her. Reluctantly she broke their kiss, her lungs insistent on their need for oxygen. She sucked the air in in a sort of gasp, the heat of the situation flushing through her. Cambi's hands grabbed at her lover's back, not wanting any space to be between them.
