This got a little long. :3 Yay for daddy-daughter thread!<3

It had been in the month of May that the young coyote had wandered away from the only home she knew amongst the carefree and loving arms of those of Juniper Peace. But there had been so much compelling Clover to leave and find out those things she did not know yet her mind played at. There was much confusion surrounding her father, whom had left on the same night Storm Lily was discovered dead. Razekiel had been accused of the murder by several, but Clover still wasn’t sure what she believed on that issue. She had come to accept Storm’s death quite easily, however, for Juniper Peace and their teachings about the ways of Mother Earth had prepared Clover for the simple fact that death was a part of life. Still, there wasn’t much to dispel the awful rumors of her father. Was he really capable of murdering his own child?

Her initial departure had been set around the idea of finding her siblings. China and Sage had left behind Juniper Peace and Clover had a yearning to discover what it was that her siblings were uncovering in the world. Eventually Clover had been led to Nova Scotia on her journey to find her siblings, but the faint scents she discovered in the area all turned up empty handed. It was clear that they had been here at some point, but China and Sage had obviously moved on somewhere else. Clover couldn’t track them, however, for it seemed as if their scents had just vanished. Especially now, after all this time, there was no hope for her to be reunited unless her siblings wandered back. But that was alright with the girl for now, as she had decided to take up residence not far from sunflower sunsets of drifter bay.

It had been so long now that the girl had finally decided it was time to yet again wander to Inferni’s borders. She had been there many times before, merely skirting about to get to the neutral territory near Halifax or to press the members who patrolled the borders for more information about her family. She had been told that Razekiel lived in Inferni, but she hadn’t wanted to see him just yet. So much mystery surrounded her father now, and Clover wasn’t sure whether or not she wanted to discover the truth about him. And yet, it was time. She left behind the small shack where her possessions were kept, her usual demin shorts adorning her hips, hands covered in rings and bracelets, and the usual white headwrap circling long walnut hair. She brought no other possessions with her, leaving them behind in the safety of her makeshift home, though she had tucked a joint into her headband before leaving. If all else failed, she’d have some sort of peace offering if things with her father went sour.

She knew she had arrived when the familiar piked skulls came into view – the milky gleam of bone always intriguing the girl. She’d have to wait by the borders, knowing better than to trespass into unknown territory, until Razekiel came to her. The girl let out a summoning call, though there was nothing else apparent in her message. Razekiel would have to wait until he found his daughter to know who was there, unless he still happened to remember the sound of the young coyote’s voice.

Ah! So yeah, I didn't know you started this, I'm sorry. D: You might've sent me a PM and it just slipped my mind after I read it. X_x I am very forgetful. Do you want to post-date it to make it more recent? ^^

His name lingered in that voice. Why? What would a stranger want with a thing like he? To his side was his cozy little tent; to his front a small campfire, unlit but flooded with discarded joints nonetheless. Razekiel had been the prince in his swirling paradise until then, until his summoning tempted him from his daydream. A smoking something dangled between his lazy fingers, palm lloose and upturned on the ground beside him; against his back was a jutting rock, and had he not been so high, perhaps he would have noticed the ache in his back it brought him. Such things were hardly important then. He knew the voice, and yet he did not. Razekiel perked his ears to the best of his ability—they swayed and struggled to remain alert—and listened, but no further calls came. It was no mistake; they had called for him. Not his sunshine, nor his brother, and the rest of the clan hardly knew him. Who would demand his specific attention?

He climbed onto wobbly legs, gems and necklaces jingling with movement. A stumble, a near-trip, and he was on his way. Razekiel knew himself to be insignificant and useless to the real world but instead an extension of Mother Earth's hand, using the prince to spread her love and glory. He didn't mind. Of course he didn't mind. But very few saw his ways as appealing—most preferred to turn their eyes away from the peaceloving boy, the stain on the Lykoi name. Who needed him?

His staggering walk cleared clouds around his eyes; the effects of the drug began its lift as soon as he began to move. The coyote followed that sound, curiouser and curiouser as he went, until at last the sun broke through the clouds and he came upon his caller. From a distance he froze, eyes thinned, muscles locked; who was she? Terribly familiar, and yet foreign completely. Her hair done in flowers and love, her arms glittering with bangles. A spirit? Mother Earth herself? She possessed the beauty, for sure. A creature of Juniper Peace, come to find him? He panicked, but briefly. No—Juniper Peace could not orchestrate revenge. They would not hunt him down. No, he knew her. He knew this girl.

"Clover," the prince said, the name fluttering at his tongue like a bird. The last of his daughters, appearing all-too-suddenly like the rest. Would she, like China and Sage, simply disappear as well? Had she come to make peace? How had she even known him to be there? "Look at you, little girl, you've grown up," Razekiel said, his smile nearly nervous as it stretched across his face. No anger lay in her eyes; he was unthreatened. The prince sauntered on, tossed his finished joint over his shoulder, and opened his arms to her. "Little Love, you shouldn't be in a place like this. It is cursed with hate and war; there is blood in the air."

No big deal! <3 And actually, I'd like to keep it on August 14th if that's okay with you. It's her birthday, so I figured she might use that as leverage in their conversation. :3

In the moments that followed her call, fingers went absentmindedly to the locks of hair that fell over her shoulders and began to twirl. Though she was older now and had obviously proved that she could survive on her own, Clover felt oddly childish at this moment and didn’t like the exposed, vulnerable feeling creeping up her spine. She was being reunited with her father, so this should have been a happy moment. Clover wanted nothing more than to dispel the anxiety that clung to her, brought on merely by the whispers of her father’s supposed horrible crime. Such a peace loving man – an extension of Mother Earth’s hand – could not have committed such an unspeakable act. Razekiel couldn’t be capable of that, and yet the small fear was still apparent. When her light straw eyes found the thin form coming into view, a mixture of emotion flooded her veins. For once in her long, long trek from all that she knew, Clover had been reunited with a familiar face.

She had been so very young when Razekiel had abandoned them, leaving behind a broken, mourning family. Over the months, she had blossomed from a curious, happy puppy into a beautiful, gentle young woman. Her father hardly looked any different, though she knew she might be hard to place in the Vexillarius’ mind. After a moment, however, her name tumbled softly from the man’s mouth and straw eyes watched the small joint bounce between his teeth. She wanted to be angry with him for leaving them behind, but in that moment she warmed to his soft words. His arms opened and Clover instinctively stepped forward, finding herself pressing her petite frame into the comfort and security of his awaiting embrace. "Daddy," she murmured softly, ignoring his warning words. For now, it didn’t matter. For now, she had her father again.
